Im lucky Ive never had an injury..but have you guys ever thought about what would happen if you had an injury while lifting..say while doing bench pressing or military pressing and the weighed came crashing down on you?!

I just realized using the weights im using by now if something like that happened I could be injured very severly.

Do you know if there are any powerracks or something that will prevent a weight from being extremly quickly (especially on its way down :-D)?

thats what safety bars are for.

If you go into a squat rack you can set them up at shoulder height for military pressing or lower for bench pressing.

i use dumbells for almost all my upper body exercises (besides biceps, i like barbells for that).

Im gonna do bench presses military presses etc. at the gym too from now on. I have a own bench a barbell 2 dumbells and plenty of weight, but before Im gonna use them again I'll get myself a powerrack with 'safety catches'. I'm already member at a gym because thats where I workout my back and legs (because of my knees Im not supposed to be doing squats so I try to hit the leg press hard ;))..Working out at home is more comfortable, but if Im member at a gym already..heck who cares (for now) ;)

When you said safety bar you probably meant a bar in a powerrack with safety catches, right? (Im not too familiar with that yet..)
