OK, I have a different problem than many people.. I already have the six-pack thanks to my metabolism, but I want to increase the size of my abs and my overall abdominal girth (a little)....

would it pay for me to "lift heavy" for my abs, like with rope crunches and weighted leg raises? Is this the only way to go?

Also, would I train these just like my chest and back and such? i.e. Work them out real heavy and rest them for a few days?

Yes you can work them out with weight to increase their mass just like any other muscle.

The best way to train them. Start with 2 days a week and see if you can improve the weight you are adding. One day a week may be sufficient, but if they recover well enough for 2 days why not.

Thanks for the reply... IF you don't mind me asking what's your ab routine like and how long does it take? How happy are you with your results??

I started doing some light cable crunches and leg raises today just to get into it then I plan on adding a rotation exercise (my gym has that machine) as well as decline crunches and maybe some medicine ball work.

This sounds like it'd take 30 minutes...

(thanks, p.s. I tend to enjoy reading your posts.. they're good!)
