Folks, I was wondering...does an increase in a man's testosterone levels lead to an increase in his level of appetite? Ever since I began working out consistently and have now gained more muscle mass, I've noticed that I feel the need to eat quite more often than I used to. During my skinnier days, I could get away with just eating two meals a day. I often used to skip lunch. These days, if I only eat cereal or a muffin for breakfast, my stomach will be growling not too long before noon. Now, I feel compelled to eat at least three times a day, and skipping breakfast is definitely not an option anymore.

Some have suggested to overweight people especially, that one way to curb appetite is by drinking more water. I was wondering therefore, whether or not this sudden increase in appetite from working out regularly is a good or bad thing?

uh no idea about testosterone but why wouldn't your body crave more nutrients when it's trying to repair and grow?

it's good. because you DO need to eat more.

Hey champ, its a great thing! Just make sure your eating healthy, getting protein every meal. You need to listen to your body, if your hungry, then eat. Also, drinking water when your hungry willl take the edge off a bit. Also mini fasts 5-7 hours of no food but lots of water are great for overall health, I do it everyday and it has not really affected my muscle gains.

It's probably a combination...your body is both craving more nutrients and has increased testosterone levels (which stimulates your appetite too).

Don't do this.
