Inadvertently offending girls

Does it ever happen to you where you say something innocent, and the girl takes offense to it and either stops talking to you or is turned-off? It just seems to happen to me from time-to-time and it's so annoying. I like to be myself so I'll talk without being guarded, but sometimes that backfires.

i usually set it up from the very beginning that i say outlandish things.

i often get "you confuse me. i never know what to think of what you say."

it's fun and they don't get offended because they can't figure out if i really mean what i said or not.

Yeah, I'm the same way. But I figure if a girl takes stuff to seriously, I don't want to be with her in the first place.

I find that if you mix it up with being polite from time to time it will really intrigue them because they can't figure you out.

I think you have to establish a difference though between speaking your mind and being an arrogant prick.
