I wanted to share this because it is *kinda* related to this article...
I knew a guy who had a vasectomy (sp) and didn't wish to have any more children. He married this hell-spawn witch of a woman who made his life a living nightmare every day until he finally agreed to reverse the vasectomy and have a baby. However, the reversal didn't take, and he was unable to impregnate her. She decided on artificial insemination to get pregnant. The man consented to the procedure on one condition: she must sign an agreement stating that if they are to divorce in the future, he will not be responsible for support payments. She signs, and out comes baby nine months later. They ended up divorcing a few years down the road, and when time came for a settlement, the judge ruled that the contract he made her sign was unlawful. Now that man is stuck with support payments every month until the child's 18th birthday. (This was in Massachusetts)
Fortunately, the guy from this story is a total pr1ck who deserves a lot worse. But this just goes to show that you don't even have to whip your sh1t out to get stuck with child support. Watch every little step you make at all times with all people.
