Sweaty and uncomfortable...

it's barely 5 degrees outside, but I'm still feeling it. I can run around in my boxers at -20 and feel great, than the heat comes to town and I get all groggy.

Anybody have advice?

I drink tons of water, and I exercise regularly... I hope I don't have to just tough it out.

Menapause.

Are you just saying you're temp hot, or are you trying some lame attempt at a play on words?

No, I'm not getting hot flashes.

Same thing at this time of year, hot and muggy... it pisses me off so bad.

Just wondering if there was any Health & Fitness measures I can take to become used to the heat faster?

How do people deal with heat waves other than swimming and hopping on a bike?

Wear a parka.

If you're not dead after a couple of hours, you're good.

Stay indoors and turn up the AC.
ALL the time? There's no AC at the office I work in, I keep the door open and hope a cool breeze reaches me, about all I can do inside.

I've gone outside and done a few quick dashes up and down the street to get some breeze going through me. I also got some thoughts from Warboss Alex and I found out half of it is in my head. He talked about high metabolism and taking a shower, pictured the shower and swimming in the river and I cooled right down.

Just wondering if you guys know of any physical ways I can be prepared for heat when in an office with no AC when I can't get outside.

Like, if you've ever been part of a heatwave and there was a blackout, all you have is ice, and you can't go around an office with icepacks and be professional about it.

I'm going to take the parka recommendation:p I'll overheat myself tonight and hopefully my body just reacts positively to it.

Deal with it. If you're hot, you're hot. Theres nothing you can really do to become "used" to it. Although, I take scalding hot shower, and the hot weather doesn't bother me as much as it does other people. The steam and the heat might help.

Really I can't give any better advice. I love hot weather, which is why I live in SoCal. Even my room is a good 10 degrees warmer than the rest of the house. I'm the guy that is completely comfortable in the room when everyone else is complaining about the heat. It takes alot for me to want my environment colder.

I think it has something to do with our core temperature. I had to take my temperature every day for a month for a project and I averaged almost a degree colder than the average (98.6). The highest I measured at was 98.4 and the coldest was 97.0. Strange huh?

Very, like the complete opposite of myself. I've never measured daily for any reason, but only once was my core temp below average. Women always complain about how HOT I am when I cuddle, they ask me why my hands are warm, and think I am blushing when I am not(which makes me blush).

I usually sleep nude, with a TINY blanket, window open and I still toss and turn at night before I fall asleep. I can lay in snow with only boxers on for like five minutes... I love the cold.

I get something similiar. Especially when I get frustrated with something or start thinking about the heat alot. Then it gets worse and I start itching everywhere and it won't stop, it sucks.
