Okay. So Ive Experimented With It Before, It Being Gaining Mass. (Good Mass).. But Ive Never Had Great Results. This Time It Will Be Different However, As I Have These:

Money.
Self Discipline and Determination. (Not Only do i want to get bigger, I want to do what it takes to).

Ive Been working out for the last 2 weeks. My Schedule hasnt been strict (yet).. Busy schedule.. But Ive been finding the time to get everything done each week, as well as maintaining proper rest periods.

However, What I greatly need to improve on is what I have to work out with. (All I have now is a bowflex and free weights) I Will be getting more free weights, So I get A personal trainer? Do I get a GYM membership? (Looking into getting a free gym membership right now through work)..

Next My Diet. And this is something im taking very proudly too. Ive been stuck on this diet for the last month and a half.

It entails two things. Gaining Good Mass. and Losing Acne. I Will not eat anything that is the least bit "junk".

I put together a shake that is just delicious which is:
Sugarless(Plain) Whey Protein Powder
2x Bananas
2x Strawberries
2x Raw Eggs ( I do the best I can with them to prevent that samonella)..
Ice
All Blended Togehter. Its so delicious.

I will be drinking 2-4 of these daily. i will be experimenting with the recipe, but it will always contain eggs and whey.

Other then that I have these daily:
Scrambled Eggs
Chicken/Turkey Sandwhiches on Brown bread.
Vegetables
Fruits
Peanuts (I like to eat plain peanuts randomly through the day)

I drink nothing but water.

Input on this would be great. Ideas on what I can eat/workout with would be amazing. Ive been skinny for the first 20 years of my life and although im comfortable with my body. I want the body that I vision myself with.

Yeah dude, you're going to have a join a gym. Or get a squat rack and olympic bar to go along w/ that bowflex. check out starting strength, or the sticky here for bulking up. Stick w/ it for a year. Drink milk.

I started working out when I was 19, was super skinny. Now I'm 23 and have a physique that turns heads. Keep the exercises simple, and no cables or machines in ur workout. good luck.

low weight and skin problems may be symptoms of an enzyme defiency...try taking a digestive absorption aid with your meals/shakes

also eat a minimum of 4k cals a day

lol wow. I know you should eat more but that's quite insane. Are newbies supposed to eat that much? Could they maintain the activity required for all of that to not turn to fat?

What free weights did you get? Hopefully you got the right things....you should be getting a gym membership though if your really serious about this, its the first step to saying your committed. (If your not willing to buy a gym membership then you probably won't be willing to eat all meals etc)

I got some cheaper ones. There the ones You can customize.

SO far what i got:

2 1 handed bars
2 2 Handed bars (one straight, one with curved grips)

2x35pound weights
2x25pound weights
4x10pound weights
4x5pound weights

Im commited. Though I lack the proper knowledge and experience as to how to work out. I feel strongly about my diet and Ive done a good job at sticking to it. (Ive gained 5 pounds since beggining)

Get some 45's to make things easier when lifting big weights...but you especially need 2.5's so you can increase the weight you're lifting more often and keep hitting PRs. It will be a lot harder to improve if the smallest increment you can up the weight by is 10 pounds (5 on each side).

I agree with EFFORT about the gym membership commitment thing, however you can still use the fact that you spent $240 as a kick in the ass every time you consider eating bad food or missing a workout.

Anyway, good luck, you're in good hands with the knowledgeable guys here helping you.

actually I have 4x 2.5s from long ago as well..

I get acne from eating anything remotely bad. so i use that among everything else to discourage me from eating badly. and Ive been on this diet for a while now with no bad habits. so ill give myself a pat on the back for that.

This isnt just me looking in the mirror one day. Not liking what i see, and deciding i want to change that.. (then doing weight lifting for a day and a half then giving up)..

This is when I get this done.

Its still very early. But my Progress has been good. Ive gained about 6-7 Pounds thus far over the 10 days ive been at it. I expect this rate to slow down. But Continue going up.

The Good:
- I look a bit bigger.
- I feel a bit bigger.
- Im putting on the weight Cleanly.
- I havent given up. Or Slowed Down at all. Im eating Constantly (Today ive had 2xSubway Chicken Breast 12 Inch subs, 6 ounces of turkey, Patatoes, A serving of Carrots, a Turkey Streak, A Turkey Cutlet Sandwhich. And 3 of my Protien Shakes. (Im doing 1.5 scoops of whey with them now).
- Tommorows a workout day, Im going to bed very soon to get up early and give it my all. I have work in the afternoon. So Ill be sure to put together a Big Lunch to keep myself well fed.
- Im enjoying it.
- Im finding it increasingly easier to eat more and more each day.

The Bad
- Combining it with a Full Time Job is very tiring. 8 hours of sleep is not enough. neither is 9. When i get a chance to sleep in i sleep for 12 hours.
- Very expensive. Im spending 40-50 dollars a day on what i put in my body.
- Those Squats made my Legs soar. When I climb up/down stairs i look like a retard. :p

Careful that you aren't overdoing the protein. You can prolly cut back to only a scoop to make the whey last longer.

Also, beware of eating too much protein. Your body will use ketosis to split the amino acids to use for energy. Then you start to *STINK*. No showering or breath mints can help. You become a walking skanky vagina.

Get on the simple starting diet. You'll save loads of money. Start making food at home...quit going to subway it's ridiculously expensive! 5$ deal or not haha...make your own subs

Some slight changes to optimize your time can help a lot. As stallion mentioned above cooking your own meals is the way to go. The key here however is cooking several meals at a time so you spend less time with cooking/cleanup. For example last weekend I cooked 6lbs of beef and 6 chicken breasts to make a total of 21 meals I separate in ziplock bags and store in my freezer. This is ideal for me as I don't have much free time during the week. Its also way more time efficient over all such that I cooked all those meals in less then 2 hours but if I cooked them each individually (if I cooked every day) it would have taken me 20-30min each.. each with separate prep and cleanup too..

Hey man,

If you really wanna gain weight you should eat around 5000-6000 calories a day.

Then my workout routine consisted of Squats Deadlifts and Bench.

Low reps high weight.

Do you even know what proper nutrition is, PerfectCircle? It sounds like you know you need to eat lots of protein, but I'm not seeing much else in your diet. Where is the fibre? Where are the dietary fats, monounsaturated fats, and polyunsaturated fats? The only good carb in your diet is the potato, the carbs in the bread(subs, sandwich) are crap.

m eating Constantly (Today ive had
2xSubway Chicken Breast 12 Inch subs, = Cut these from your diet and replace them with 12-18 whole eggs.

6 ounces of turkey, = as long as its not deli meat, its okay

Patatoes, = good

A serving of Carrots, = good, not enough though for a high protein diet

a Turkey Streak, = again, better not be deli meat.

A Turkey Cutlet Sandwhich. = lots of turkey :)

And 3 of my Protien Shakes. (Im doing 1.5 scoops of whey with them now). = where is a carb or fat source? Do you have WPI or WPC?
