Id ont know.. I just have alot of crap I want to rant about. Feel free to comment
1. If I see another commercial trying to be trendy by putting a Norah Jones snippet in the commeccial, with her fingernails screatching the chalkboard voice, that is neither masculne or femine, I am throwing a pool stick in the TV.
2. The othe rday I was reading my fav football rumer site, profootballtalk.com/rumormill.html (the only place you need to go to for nfl news, I love it... short compact.) and there was a NFL.com commercial on the site that had a line like "study 10 hours for the big game like Payton Manning"
NOw.. that the **** do I want to study 10 hours for a game, I'm not playing in? Is mr. Manning going to cut me a check after the game? Am I getting paid to comment on the game? I'm not in school. there is being a fan, and being a nutcase loser with no life. If you study an NFL game for 10 hours, that you are closer to the latter.
3. Mike Callihan is the worst coach in the hisotry of modern sports. How to you take over a team that won 9 games, with one of the most stoutest defenes in college football they have their own nickname, and in a span of what.. 3 years, turn them into a team that will not finish above .500 and the avg amount of points scorced against them is over 40? That my friends... is having a negative impact.
4. Houston Nutt isn't that much better. the only thing saving him from the worst coach of all time is his seemingly uncanny nack to recruit a NFL 1st rounder calibur playmaker every 3 years. First it was Cedric Cobbs (injuries, otherwise he'd been a first rounder), then it was Matt Jones, then as soon as he was about ot be canned again, it was McFadden and Felix Jones. I doubt he last again this year but he has three coming up the pike, Devin Thomas ,Jay Wright and D'Anthony Curtis that are probably as a whole, 3 of the best players he's ever recruited. Jay Wright holds an offer from every major school in the country and D'Anthony Curtis is a top 100 player nationaly.
5. You are a sum of your habits. The last time I saw my grandmother, which was about 10 months ago, she was just getting out the hosptial, telling me how diabities runs in the family and how she has no hope.. while.. literalry, sitting over the stove, cigerette in hand, cooking a hamburger and french fries in the fattest grese money can buy, with a Budwiser sitting on the counter. Yeah grandam.. the only thing genetic is the inability to not watch what you eat then comlain about it later.
Fat people are fat because they eat alot. Sick people get sick because they dont' take care of themselves. Show me one person who watches what they eat, exercieses on a daily basis and has had a triple bypass (which is what my grandmother had)
6. Horse racing logic is the most ass backwards logic on earth. For instance, am I the only person on earth that unmderstands that Because George Washington was better than Lawyer Ron last year, and hasn't done anythnig wrong.. that he just might, justmihgt, be a better horse than lawyer ron?
Simple Logic.. you take two horses.. in the BC classic last year.. Laywer ron runs 9th.. George Washington ships from England to the US, runs on dirt for the first time in his life, runs 6th, and had a bad trip doing it.
Lawyer Ron came back this year, won an allowence optional caliming race (which is considering his classl level, giving money away), won a grade 2 in arkansas which I saw live, and beat no one, came in 3rd in the Met Mile to a mile specailist, then came in 2nd to a horse I don't even know in a Grade 3 race where he was the 1/9 favorate.. then comes back and wins 2 great races at Saratoga, beating no one.. but beating no one in record time. Then he faces his first true test of the year, in Curlin, and looses.
George Washington was actually retired this year to stud, was shooting blanks, so they brought him back to the track.. his first race he threw a hissy fit at Ascot and still lost by a lengh for 3rd, then lost another race, I think the King Geroge, a world Top race, by not a hell of alot. Loosing to world class horses.
But I'm the only person on earth, that thinks that 1) Laywer ron hasn't proven anything since last year and 2) Geroge Washington is still the better horse.
I'm not saying I like Geoge Washington to win.. I don't.. I dont' think he's THAT good on dirt, but he will finish ahead of Lawyer Ron, that much I'm sure of.
