I'm rally cold when a girl is attracted to me/starts comnversation with me

I've noticed for quite a few months now, that I am REALLY cold and standoffish towards any girl that starts a conversation with me, even if I find her attractive. It's almost as if I'm testing them, but unconsciously.

If a girl that I'm attracted to stands next to me (and I know that she's attracted to me as well) I'll just stand there, and pretty much ignore her.

This is kind of a problem, has anyone else experienced anything similar?

Acutally yeah, I USED to do that exact same thing ALOT. It's only the initiating part though, once one of us starts the conversation then it's completely fine and always fun.

Recently I've stopped doing it; I'm not sure what caused it though. Basically I just tease a lot and there is always something to talk about, because I think that's why I wouldn't initiate (nothing to say)

I, too, am standoffish when a girl shows interest in me. I'd rather work for a girl's attraction.

Me too. I think it's from being afraid of messing up, which is really crazy because the girls i'm attracted to never hit on me. So, i couldn't care less about these girls, yet i'm afraid.

Find the first situation when you felt the same emotion in the past. It can be since you were 3 4 years old.
Get rid of it. Find anything else that stops you and you will be totally free.
