I'm pretty pissed

lol, I'm not even posting this ****, to prove a point or to make a grand statement against women in the workplace. I 'm posting this so I can vent, so that I don't put my foot up this woman's ass. Because she has me that hot right now.


Anyway I got this client, or had lol, Stacy. She's a woman in real estate. She wants a basic real estate site. We normally don't take jobs this small but towards the end of the year things slow down so I start taking more projects price wise / size wise I would not normally take just to stay busy. Anyway, straightforward stuff. She wants a real estate website. She has the design in mind she wants, etc. No problem right?


Wrong. lol WRONG. First of all, I sent her a proposal last Tuesday when she called me, she just now is getting back to me today because she's been that busy.


So evertyhing is going fine, she's fine with the overall price of the project, the time frame all that. All is well. Then the red flag comes. This ***** is getting mad beucase she has to pay a $6 dollar godaddy hosting bill and the site she has right now, which is a static site, is free

When she pulled that bull****, I knew this was a lost cause then because anyone this stupid cannot be reasoned with. I tried to explain to her, that the site we are building has databases in it and her current website, does not. It's a static site. For us to add the video player you want and the Newsletter you want and all that good stuff, the site has to be built on a database, and for a site to be built on a database, you have to pay for it lol. Godaddy doesn't give out free database space. But again it's freaking 6 bucks a month. It's like 4 dollars a month if you get the 12 month package. Seriously who the **** argues over this stuff lol? I could have just as well added 100 dollars to her total and paid it my damn self.


So now she's accusing me of trying to "add an extra layer" of pricing and how I don't get it, how i'm trying to get over her and when I tried to explain to her she told me to "shut the fvck up"

i damn near lost it at that point. Actually i just hung up the phone but if she was in person i would have slapped the **** out of that woman. She knew she ****ed up because she then emailed me and told me she wasn't cursing at me she was just expressing herself I told her look I don't' deal with unprofessional clients. I don't care how you express yourself do it somewhere else.


Who the **** talks to people like that, WHEN THEY ARE WRONG LOL? I could understand if she was right, and even then, you don't.

I'm just hot right now.

Nobody ever grows up wanting to be a "realtor". The women that become realtors do so because their "looks" aren't paying the bills like they once did. They are too lazy and pathetic to better themselves. They have spent their entire life searching for the easy(sleazy) road. Being a realtor was the easiest step that required little input, little skills, that provides for a decent living.

Wherever there is easy money to be made there will be sleazy people. Strippers, Bar tenders, Drug Dealers, Car Salesmen, realtors, bail bonds, payday loans, etc.

I'd just refuse to do business with them.

Your post reinforces my belief that virtually ALL attractive women are finally supported...they have a rich daddy or BF or some chump male "friend" that's willing to spend money on 'em. But a lot of these hotties will go even further and try to manipulate men into doing them financial favors...and they will consider you an azzhole if you refuse to treat them special.

I'd tell her to go look for a cheaper company. That's what I tell my prospects who try to whittle me down on price. "If you're that concerned about price then I'm probably not the best option for you. I know of 10 other companies that are cheaper."

no not the same chick, the other chick is Dana. Dana is my homegirl. Dana could not be more different. I probably invoice Dana 2-3 times a month for **** with her website and she pays it within minutes. Plus she's pretty cool.



Ironically enough though she does have the "hey backbreaker can you help me with this" all the time. **** last night I created a custom decal for her mac for her. But she's really cool though I (seriously) don't mind. But she knows when it comes to the site it's pay or play. Plus she is a nutritionist and personal trainer and helps me with my workout routine free of chrage

I just thought I had a run of bad ones, but it appears the job attracts people of extremely low character, people whom I find impossible to respect.

Why you're not hosting all clients on your company dedi or colo and charging a decent monthly management/maintenance fee, I have no idea. (Screens at the beginning of any dev automatically, but I guess this isn't run of the mill project as you mentioned)

I'll give you one better. Women who are so damn lazy they can't even become realators so they become "the hot woman at the apartment complex" who is hired to basically show you the apartment that you are getting ready to move into

I am of the school to sticking to one thing and doing it well. I don't have time to deal with clients after we build their site we got too much stuff going on. Then I'd have to hire someone just for customer support, then I'd be getting more calls about projects we aren't making money on, etc. not worth the money

it would not have mattered she wasn't paying it.

I mean, seriously i've been doing this 6 years. I can't remember another time something along this line has happened in 6 years. sometimes **** just happens and there isn't anything you can do about it. doesn't mean you need to revise your business plan lol, doesn't mean you are doing something wrong. sometimes **** just happens. **** just happened here. I just needed to vent

it's really not all that different than guys trying to change their cold approach because they got rejected once. IN business you are going to lose clients. you are going to lose clients for the silliest of reasons.

I have women clients as well, and I feel your pain 100%. They think they know what they want, and when it becomes realized in the real world, you know, the world outside of a computer box that involves 3 dimensions, trees, planets, and tangible items, it is not good anymore.

"But this is what you wanted" I say. And they always reply: "Yeah but I don't like it, this is never going to work, can you fix it ASAP?"

Do you know how frustrating it is to wreck something you busted your ass for the very next day?

Working with women as a general, sux a fat one. In professional mediums, emotions have no fückin place.
