My natural tendency is to ASK girls "Would you like to do this or that" instead of taking the lead like a man. But I'm making a conscious effort to correct this behavior. For example, yesterday I sent this text to a hot blonde I know..."Meet me here at 7:30 tomorrow night. I have a fun idea." She wrote back, "I can't, I work until nine." So I answered, "OK, come over right after then." Her response: "I kinda have plans with someone! I'll see if I can."
Now the OLD me would've said, "OK that's cool, just let me know." And probably wouldn't have heard from her that night. But like I said...I'm learning. So I shot back, "Blow em off." And her answer? "Mmmkay."
This isn't a huge victory by any means, just a little example to show that females do respond to alpha behavior.

Have you tried both ways. You can say "would you like to this that" in the right way..you don't need to be alpha in order to attract her.
If you are trying to be an alpha instead of being you are not an alpha in the first place.

This is good, you are observing yourself and gradually getting better.

Probably she already has a opinion about you. I don't know why you are trying to look "alpha" in a text message.

So I just logged in and read your responses. i must say, you're a negative bunch! although I agree that pretending to be alpha won't work in the long run, changing the way I communicate seems to be a good first step to changing the way I THINK. It's a journey right? Now I know that asking a girl isn't always a bad thing, but since I come across as super nice all the time, I'm working on being more dominant.
Yes, she came over. I continued taking the lead...told her "Meet me at the parking structure by the mall", she did without question. We hung out there for awhile, then went back to my house. Keep in mind that I've been in the friend zone with this girl for 6 months or so. When we met I knew she was attracted to me, but I didn't have the balls to make a move so naturally she lost respect. For a long time she blew me off but recently we began hanging out again. I learned from my mistakes and let her do all the pursuing. And she seems to be responding to my new, more relaxed self.
We were never alone for more than a few minutes last night, and although I failed to kiss close, the chemistry between us was stronger than it's ever been in the past. She touched me a million times (which I made sure to reciprocate), and at one point as we were watching TV and a guy was hitting on some chick, she remarked jokingly, "That's how I want you to seduce me someday." The eye contact between us was intense and she remarked how much she enjoyed hanging out with me these days.
I definitely have a ways to go with this girl, but I'm interested to see if I can turn this thing around. My instincts tell me she's feeling my new approach. And the best part is, I'm simply chillin' and learning to express a more confident, masculine side of myself.
