I'm back! Need 1st date tips

Damn, it has been a while since I been on here. you go through phases where you make big efforts, you get a few digits in a row, but they didn't happen. One blew me out, she was messing me around, the other I can't remember. Then you think f*** it, I'm gonna enjoy life and not bother with this ****, but then you still keep your eyes open...

Anyway, I totally randomly grabbed my cojones (figuratively) and talked to this girl on the bus the other day and got the digits.

OK, I'm in London, England. Where do I go on a 1st date? I know, one of the biggest cities in the world but that's precisely my point. I don't live in small town where there are obvious things to do. There's too many things here, so I'm not sure.

And coffee date does not cut it for UK girls, maybe US but not here. I'm thinking do something fun (not sure what though), leaving option open for a couple drinks at a nearby bar and/or then leaving option to check out a unique restaurant nearby that I don't have to reserve for so it lookis spontaneous (as I don't want to invite her for dinner straight out for 1st date). What do you think?

I'm from London too. I think one of the best places to take a girl on a date is to a comedy club, like Jongleurs.. You'll both have a fun evening, you can drink and theres a disco at the end !

If thats not your thing, then maybe a bar with some atmosphere, Lab, Revolution, Rockwell and Fifteen ( The bar below Jamie Olivers restaurant) are all very cool places... Stay away from Old Compton St.. Its great if you're looking to practise some DJ skills...

I don't know where exactly in London you live, but the above arent bad suggestion for the west end..

You could even take her on the London Eye and then go to London Aquarium ?! Or if you're arty.. the Tate Modern's always a good tip..

If the above is of no help, just buy the evening standard, and time out, read the bar reviews and going out sections.

You don't have to take her to coffee, but I think your missing the point!! The coffee get-together is all about the girl qualifying herself to you!! You want to realize within a short amount of time whether you want to spend more time with this girl or not. What better way is there to do that than over coffee?? Why? Because most people don't have coffee for 2 or 3 hours, which is usually the typical time for a traditional "date." But you don't want to be traditional and boring do you? Even if you choose to go out for drinks, you really can't leave within 30-45 minutes because she'll know that your not having a good time. I suppose that shouldn't really matter much, but I just wanted to point out why we choose coffee as the 1st get together.

Now if you've talked to this girl for quiete a while when you # closed and already figured out that she is worth your time, then do something active. Otherwise, coffee is always the best bet.

I normally take a girl out for a drink on a first date.

If I know that the girl is really interested or really slutty, I will rent a movie and invite her over for a first date.

Well in the end (3 months ago), I took her to a bar, then to a great Spanish restaurant.

Now we are in a LTR.....although now I feel chained! lol!

Whatever you do dont use more then 1 spray of cologne. Spray that ish on your wrist, rub your wrists together then rub them on your neck.

Thats all you need. lots of dudes trip out on the first date and start sprayin cologne like a super soaker.
