Suggestion: While fessing up to the boss, why not lay out your plan to not only rectify the situation but also how you plan assure that the problem doesn't resurface.

Yea, I was in a situation like that. Thing that was with me is that I had a crappy work that I didn't like, I didn't get respect, and pay was poor. I stayed in anyway, and everything got aggravated.

Thing to do is quit, and don't look back.

Yea, I give you the props. You deserve it. Have some ego strocking, maybe while at it you learn a thing or two and get closer to getting laid.

Well, the first thing you should do is focus on your job instead of posting and reading this site. You are allowing distractions into your workplace...and that is only asking for trouble.

I disagree. Because chances are he isn't much value at work nor has he a professional frame setup with boss and everyone else. So, if boss has this talk with you, it's because in his mind "he is trying to give him a chance". But his mind is made up, and from this point on he'll be more sensitive.

Also agreeing that you need a change is like admitting guilt. IMO, at first signs of trouble, leave. Make it so that it's their fault and they are missing and loosing.

By the way, the reason I got fired was because I was nice to everyone and would do anything. Back in the AFC days. That lead to crap treatment and no value what so ever. Of course once fired the real value surfaced, and they lost several contracts because no body else was able to do the job I do and the way I do it.

Create self-fulfilling prophecies. Always assume the positive. Assume she likes you. Assume she wants to talk to you. Assume she wants to go out with you. When you think positive, positive things happen.

probably true......but somehow i feel refreshed, after i take 5-10 minutes every couple of hours and check some site out.....being A.D.D. (like half the north american population) i would burn out puirty fast. I do better when i'm under pressure and things need to be done, but lately things have been slow and i've been shifting attention to other things.....

the question is WHY you are f'ing up. I haven't had a REAL job in a while but I remember the last job I had, I started messing stuf fup, not wanting to work long hours, oversleeping at home, because i was wanting to do something else. it's how I wired. when I'm done with something i"m done.

spider do you like your job? I was actually in a similar situation when I was going to college I had this crappy job I hated. Basically the big mistakes I was making was I was in shipping, I would send things ground when they should go overnight. I did stuff like this until I had a talk with my manager, and his boss and they were basically saying, put yourself in order.

spider, if another job is not an option, doublecheck your work. If you worked there for the longest time with no problems, you are capable of doing your job, it's not some brain disorder, something internal is occupying you. Just slow down and double, triple check your work. Concentrate on accuracy, then you won't get fired. Put checks in place.

@ the question of why is he f'ing up. Just look at how he responded to my advice. It is his attitude. He is not fit for professional work setting.

Tell her a little about yourself, but not too much. Maintain some mystery. Give her something to think about and wonder about when she's at home.

I know how it feels. I had a job where i was forced to multitask alot where alot of my coworkers had just one job. They could focus on their job and they always finished work early and it pissed me off. They would actually leave work way two hours early which was wrong and I'd be there two hours later. It pissed me off.

I started making errors and it's hard to recover. Pretty soon your coworkers know and you feel weird.

I got a new job and got out of there. The root cause I found was overwork and undersleeping. I let the stress get to me.

My current job is a bit like that because i have a totally lazy coworker so **** heads my way.

Hey, I sort of have been in a similar situation before. Try to relax. You might be overworked or really stressed out, and stress can cause you to make mistakes. Get yourself a body massage this weekend :)

I like the job....there is usually not much stress to it, but at the same time it's not really a big challenge....there is not to many new things to learn (not that my boss is willing to actually teach me anything in the first place:moon: )
Plus, i like to move around, and not sit at one place....but that is exacly what the job is.

Whoa...yeah...screwing up with your job is really not cool...especially if no one catches it until after production has started. You need to at least double check the schematics and especially the measurements and any gaging specifications.

You're very lucky you haven't gotten fired if you have been screwing up a lot...that costs money.

Spider if you're unhappy with what you're doing fvcking leave it and do something else. Your unhappiness will bleed into other aspects of your life and that will do more harm than fvcking off at work.

Never try to read a woman's mind. It is a scary place. Ignore her confusing signals and mixed messages. Assume she is interested in you and act accordingly.
