This is widespread statement to SoSuave. And it counters 2 fronts.
1. Don't feed the trolls. If a story sounds dumb, and someone hasn't bothered to read the DJ bible or do a search, don't waste your time. Especially on trolls. The wasteful threads pop up more, guys feed the trolls and keep them running back, just because it's fun and immature.
2. Don't help the "enabled." Alot of guys don't want help. If they did, they'd read through the past posts. They'd read the bible. They msg directly to someone.
See, I say this because, alot of guys come from the same, wrong background, so yeah you're helping them, but only temporarily. I thought the goal was to HELP them permanently? It's one thing to ask a constructive question to gain more momentum, but it's another to post on some ridiculous arse situation that should never have occurred to begin.
Is it harsh?
Maybe. But it's time for tough love, because that's how you get from AFC to PUA / DJ. Not by pvssy-footing around, but by being tough like the teachers or coaches or parents you had never did. By going against the grain.
Even guys who've been LONG-TERM members have the same RECURRING problems, and you know what the problem is?
It sure isn't the WOMAN, or the SITUATION, or the CIRCUMSTANCES, or BUM luck, but you. And I mean that. You are the same, so the SAME things happen again and again.
It's like someone who spends too much. They pay off their debt, but then rack it up later because "they had to buy a new TV." Ahh, no you didn't. Since when did TV ownership become mandatory as a US citizen? I realize TV is great, but banking up your C.C and become the same crazed debt-ridden fool you were doesn't help. It changes when YOU chance.
Same thing here.
Wyldfire had pointed out the site has degraded, and part of that is that it's reflective of men in the marketplace. Either they're too weak, and can't handle TOUGH love, OR, they're so PUA oriented, they're still weak, but for the PVSSY instead.
So Ignore the Crap. Help guys who ARE WILLING TO HELP THEMSELVES, that way your TIME is used and invested wisely. Helping a guy who's STUCK in the same cycle, while it's great, and feeds your own EGO, won't change the fact he makes shytty decisions about women, or that he's with a cheater, or fights too much, or overreacts, or a host of other problems.
Any person who's posted on threads for any amount of time, from Askmen, to SoSuave, know MOST posters come back with the SAME problems in DIFFERENT situations. Because THEY NEVER change; they feel it's the 'girl', or 'it was weird and difficult,'. Whatever.
FEW posters want to be made better, they want you to FIX the situation in front of them. "Make this girl like me!" "How do I lay a girl with a BF!" "She flaked on me, so how do I get her to like me now?" WTF? That's like a broke fool asking to LIVE his current debt ridden lifestyle, WHILE spending as much OR MORE THAN what he has and what he makes.
People who want to be rich, want to keep doing what they're doing, WITHOUT any pain experienced. They don't want to change.
So again, Ignore the Crap. Really. Help guys who want to be helped AND will help. I get guys Pming who seem to want constructive change, or input. No problem. I'll do it all day. But I see too many guys who keep making the same mistakes; it's beyond me to judge you, but I sure as hell don't have to GIVE in everytime and ignore the posters who really want changes made.
This isn't to say IT IS MEAN. But if 25 guys post to 1 dude about how bad it looks, TAKE THE INFO, or DO NOT, but don't ask hoping they see it your way, and they can wave a wand and FIX it for you. Granted, when you're in the midst of a situation, YOU CANNOT tell if it's bad or good. Who's right or wrong. That's why I believe so strongly that reading the boards, the bible, etc, can give that to you. It's quite common sensical.
-------------------------
You want to improve the site? Get quality posters? Move trolls away? Don't invest time or effort into people, be they TROLLS or UNPRODUCTIVE posters. Seriously.
The Detroit Lions don't want Matt Millen for his poor management as GM. What will season ticket holders do? Still go to the games. Great. So the Ford family and the Lions still have reason to keep Millen. Stop going to the game! Hurt their pocket book, and you FORCE a change, because you stop feeding it ALTOGETHER.
Same here. This isn't only just good for the site, but it's good for the poster and postee. The poster gets what he REALLY needs. You don't make useless comments which are never used or heard. And we ATTRACT more people interested IN HELPING, rather than just feeding guys who won't magical answers to dumb questions and problems, easily fixed by the use of their own mind.
--------------------------
Maybe some guy thinks..."Well, that's no fair, who are YOU to determine what should be said to whom?" I'm not. But as a poster, I don't have to respond to guys who seem not to take an active interest in truly changing, in making the necessary movements, and actually VALUING what's here. Because it's given away so readily to trolls and other guys looking for the impossible in most situations.
