If the woman pays for the dinner

Lets see a woman pays for the dinner and doesn't allow you to do anything about it. What can the man do that same night to make it up for the woman?

Tell her the nightcap at the bar you want to take her to is on you. That's if you feel the need to make it up to her, which evidently you do. I wouldn't feel the need to "make it up to her". If she bought you dinner, just take it for what it is, a kind gesture. Don't feel the immediate need to reciprocate.

Or just give her sex.

sometimes i get the check. it means i have the money to do it tonite, and another time i will not and you will have to get the check.
when i was single and i got the check, it meant i didnt want some guy to pay for my dinner and then get it in his head that i owed him anything. i didnt like feeling that way

Generally if a girl asks a guy out, she usually will pay for the date...however, when the check comes you should still at least offer to pay the tab. Even if she winds up covering it, you guys can go grab drinks/etc...and you can cover her.

Sometimes they feel overwhelmed and want to feel independent in a way. It's usually not a bad sign. However, it's proven to be bad luck for me if a girl picks up the tab on our first date. It's just me anyways.

Why are you concern about small stuff like that?? you need to look at the bigger picture and that is how well was she receptive to your advances and whether or not you will see her again.
