Well i got a girls number from my work place and we were talking on phone and shes wondering if shes just another one on the list. So she kept asking me.

HB: r u going to get any more numbers tonight
RD: Nah me i am to shy
HB: Then how did u get mine
RD: lol i knew u were going to say that, just got lucky i suppose
HB: O lol, so...how lucky do u get usually
RD: come down and watch me the whole night if u want to know so much
HB: lol i am not going to do that, so just tell me (think this is where i cud of ended it, should of just said aw then to bad)
(dam she was persistant....fast forward)
RD: Look i am not going to tell u because i said i wudn't and if i told u now then i wud just b giving into u. If u ask later sure ill tell u, but i am not saying now because i am a man of my word
HB: (hangs up)
(calls me back)
HB: ok now, answer.
RD: that was cheap and i knew u wud do that lol
HB: lol
RD: no way i am going to answer that, u hurt me just hanging up
HB: lol just tell me, u said u wud do it if i called u back later.
RD: this is the same convosation though lol...so no...it has to b at least an hour.
(she kept going on, but then i said gtg in a few minutes and then talked bit more and left)

She text me:
it won't bother me what you do why would it. So don't worry idc enjoy work.

I reply:
thanks now i can get the million of numbers u thought i was going to get lol. I hope i didn't wake u up, going to play football. talk to u later.

i think i handled situation well, but she was so dam persistant, i think maybe some how changing the tables on her could work. U guys got any ideas what i cud of done better?

I kinda disagree with JDA70 here,I liked your "nah me im too shy" line.

Because she knows your full of **** and your just playing along which is fantastic.Her mindset is already confined that she believes your a player of some sorts and gets numbers.Infact by you trying to say your too shy it might have intensified the effect.Basically she is thinking "He says hes too shy yet I know for a fact he CAN get more now he is just trying to cover it up by saying that" which then INTENSIFIES the original thought of you being a guy who gets numbers well.

I think you kept it going for too long though but you seem to realise it.It seemed you got a little on the defensive side by the whole "man of my word" thing and "giving into her".Its not that big of a deal how many numbers you got (it shouldnt be to you OR her) but you sorta pushed it a tad bit IMO.

Yeh 619 joe thats what i was going for, usually if i get **** tested i extreme it to nothing or just over the top, so they know i am not serious. If i am in a situation like, **** tested on a cold approach, this has always worked for me and to my advantage, but on the phone the **** tests didn't stop coming. I am going to try the things u lot have suggested next time it happens. because well guys i am usually a jerk when it comes to these things, so just taking another route and seeing what happens. So far i found by doing a earlier call and a few texts receptive to hers, it seems to b building a better connection, but its to early to say. I am going to say i got to find a balance, keep the convo short (because ur right i got better things to do than talking to ONE chick), but at the same time make the girl feel shes special (and no not over exaggerated in the afc way).

Hey RD, I would agree with you about cutting it off earlier. If it dragged on I would either say something silly (like ask her quietly if she can keep a secret and when she says yes I would say "so can I" and drop the subject) or just asked her questions back and then interpret her answers however best suits you. I like to do that for humorous effect.

When a chick is quizzing YOU, you gotta control the frame!

She makes answers, you answer, she keeps at it, gets you talking non stop, etc. etc. Control the frame! This way you were in the defensive all the time, she practiclly had your full attention, and you had to explain yourself to her a lot of times! Not good.

You should be too far up in your own reality and not even bother with topics like this. The first line was good, just that you shouldn't have gotten too involved and started responding her questions seriously.

I would have asked her: Why are you so interrested? or oooh, I see some jelousy! In a playful/I'm the man you're the little girl tone.

And I think that the chick left annoyed or dissapointed!! I dare to say that she's probably gonna come back, but I always like to turn it to the positive and end the interaction with the girl feeling happier then she was at the begining!

Holy crap. Are some of you people serious when you believe that HE was serious when he said "I'm shy", "I got lucky", etc. He was obviously joking in order to tease the girl. I pray that some of you in this thread are purposely acting like idiots in order to get attention or something.

You know what, forget it... trying to cure someone of this level of stupidity is like trying to prevent the flow of an erupting volcano. The only thing I can do is hide and pray that the stupid doesn't contaminate me.

LOl as i was reading a few post here i also noticed that some fools actualy thought the OP was serious. Funny thing is the guy's who came in here saying he's an afc for "teasing" a girl are clearly the true chumps. A confident man in control can say "he's shy" for he knows it's not "what" you say but "how" you say it. For an AFC though they don't understand the difference. ....... :crackup:

yeh guys i agree with the fact i was talking to long and didn't change the subject that was totally wrong of me. has for the chick i went on a date with her and i did what u guys suggested just play it c&f and just go along with whatever she says and then change subject or just switch the tables on her. It was quite a good night out for a sunday after 6pm and i actually learned something from this girl, ill go in detail in my dj journal, but its the whole jerk vs nice guy thing. Because i feel nice guy does have its advantages and so does the jerk, so take the strengths of both that way u get attraction while she feels a sense of specialness about herself. So shes attracted to u and can feel like this cud actually go somewhere.

Anyways next girl i have applied knowledge i learned after i got a text from her, which is below.

HB: hehe, u are so young! can u guess how old i am? so im not asking more but i will collect its in my head, only one question where are you working?

I tried calling her, phones switched off (we texted few times, so i am guessing texter girl) now what i wud normally do is just keep trying to call till i finally get through to her. Why am i going to waste my time doing this seriously, when i can just text her for date, no need to ***** foot round, i know what i want.
