if and how to ask

we have a dance at our school coming up soon and theres this girl that id like to take but i dunno what her answer would be, i still plan on asking just so i know i didnt miss a golden opportunity but does anyone have any good ideas on how to ask. ps im not afraid to ask to her face and i dont have her phone # but some good lines would be helpful

Just say "hey, you should go to [whatever dance] with me." You don't need "lines." Just ask with confidence.

Don't plan any lines or anything, just go up to her and ask. If she likes you she'll say yes. If she says no, you know she has bad taste and it's her loss.

I'm with the rest of the guys; just straight up ask "Do you want to go to this dance with me." You don't need some sort of game plan or anything. If she says no, she says no. Not a big deal.
