But the thing is, I am only like 5' 7" and 18, and I am hoping I will get a little taller, and I don't want to go real heavy on squats and deadlift, I do sets of about 200 lbs on both because I heard it can stunt the growth plates in your back or something. Any truth in that? If there is, what is the most weight I should be squating and deadlifting without putting my growth plates in danger, I'm not struggling at the weight I am doing now.

Thanks

you're 18, your growth plates have already been determined and squats/deadlifts will not change this

Carry on. Heavy weights actually increse mineral bone density probably helping you get taller. I started at 15 and am 1,90 at 17, so I doubt it stops anything.

In hell. I'm Satan's lover.
I started 15 when I was 5'6 or so; squats and deadlifts with proper form. I'm 17 now and I'm 6'3... so I doubt it could be that bad.
