What should I do? I've never heard so many F-words and yelling screaming and fighting/pushing furniture thrown in all my life. I think it's about one of the roommates not working, leaching off of the sole provider. I just hope a bullet doesn't come screamin through the floor and hit me. Yes, I live in the slums, but the rent is dirt cheap! It's hard to give these savings up! But it's getting pretty bad, the neighbors..Should I call the cops?? Kids are crying too..

call child protective services from a pay phone. do it annonymously. just tell them that you are concerned, wanted to report that concern, and don't want ot get involved beyond that.

tell them that there is aggressive and excessive screaming and yelling at [insert address] and that you think the children may be in danger.

they have to go check it out once that happens. while it might not resolve your problem, it's a first step. and at least it will ease your conscience regarding the safety of the kids.

maybe having a visit from child protective services will wisen these two idiots up.

Call the cops anonymously.

Last time neighbours got pissed in my neighbourhood, an old guy stormed through an apartment and stabbed a man to the death, right in front of his wife and kids.

Do you people really think that there is a such thing as anonymous snitching? Only a limited number of people are within earshot of the fighting.

Mind your own business. Calling the cops on people is the worst way to deal with them and a guarantee that they will hate you.

Don't do this! It is a domestic issue between adults and not adult and child!.

Always call anonymously.

haha he'd probably stick is fatazz head out the door and start cursing me out if I did that, but you never know what people's reactions will be. Seriously, it's hard to get some sleep with all that yelling. The last people below me got evicted for disturbing us neighbors (I didn't call it in, but the father came up and knocked on my door one day asking me if it was ME who complained; I said that I didn't because I didn't - those people weren't a tenth as bad as the people who are down there now).

When they first moved in back in January, they'd listen to Eric Clapton (Tears In Heaven) LOUD over and over and over and over, THEN I wanted to yell down, "Turn that sh!t Off!!" They're wannabe musicians and I think they may be half deaf. Now, all they ever listen to is some Mexican sh!t over and over like they're rehearsing the song for a gig. I've got my Kimber .243 Classic 84M bolt-action rifle by the door just in case I have to defend myself from these fvcks.

I'd just ask them to quiet down... wouldn't bother with the cops unless you know that those kids are being abused. Like 'Bible Belt' said, there are only so many people living near that apartment who could have heard what was going on and told the cops about it.

Dude, buy a reliable semi-automatic handgun in atleast a .38 caliber. Unless you're gonna' snipe them off from the shadows across the street, that bolt action will only get you killed. I received handgun training from a former navy seal (I'm not not bragging, it's not like that made me into a navy seal), and he said that you should always assume that the other guy is well armed and knows what he is doing. You pull out that rifle, and he is likely to pull out a semi-automatic, maybe even a full-auto, high power firearm. Always prepare for the worst if you are considering a last resort protective measure.

Right, that's what I was banking on, but they have yet to make a complaint (I think that the adjacent neighbors might be illegals and not want any part of the law coming around). I think someone complained about their jet-skis and RV being parking in handicap spots, cause they're gone now. They seem to be fighting about money. Hello? Why not sell That sh!t??

What about a Bushmaster AR-15? or AK-47? Handguns, I don't know, that just seems, dangerous. That would suck if a kid found one of my handguns lying around and shot himself with it. I've always preferred guns that are harder to be pointed at the pointer.http://youtube.com/watch?v=yL26lA6Y4NI http://youtube.com/watch?v=9ShbZnx_zMA

You got a point in that. Though, if the OP is really sure bad stuff is bound to happen, the cops are the way to do it. Really, you don't want people dying next door.

If it's just a fvcked up fight, then yeah, let it be.

Let fighting dogs lie.

If you're concerned for the kids' safety then pick up the phone and call. If they're both numbnutts who shout and piss obsceneties to get some attention leave them be.

If they're fvcking with your sleeping pattern go next door and knock on the door and give them a choice. In your left hand you have a knife, in your right a baseball bat.

Allow them to choose and then go to bed.

Yes, but with a handgun you can keep it with you and you can keep it out of sight at the same time. If you need it, it's there (like when you go to ask them to quiet down). Just make sure that you keep it out of reach and unloaded when you're at home-- keep the ammo in one location and the gun in another nearby, but secure place where you can reach it quickly. Don't leave it "laying around". You could also use a trigger lock, but I wouldn't-- a locked gun is useless in an emergency situation. The time spent finding the key, taking the lock off and sliding in the clip could be your last. Just make sure to check with your local laws regarding concealed carry firearms first.

Now, If you walk up to your neighbor's apartment with a kalashnikov in your hands, well... You might just escalate the situation into full-blown chaos and wind up in prison over it (not fun). It is for this reason that I recommend a handgun for personal protection. The problem with an assult rifle is that it is manly used for home defence (aside from military use, of course). If the guy comes to your door making threats, by all means, aim that 7.62 mother****er about head-level with him until he decides to go away. It would be a better option for you to have an assult rifle than what you currently possess, but if you actually use one of those weapons in self defence you will probably be crucified in a court of law for doing so, even though it might actually be 'legal' (which, it might not-- check your local laws).

Due to the stigma associated with assault rifles, I would suggest that you stick with a good 12-gauge shotgun instead. The Mossberg 500, for example, would be an excellent choice for home defence.

Anyways, I hope that I was in some way helpful. Good luck with the situation and stay safe.

We have a law that allows us to shoot anyone entering our homes. I think it even applies to people standing on our front porches.

Perfect for shooting at walls and not much else... especially one with no butt-stalk and a very short barrel. The problem with a double-barreled, break action style shotgun like that is that they are not only very slow and tedious to reload, but if they are cut down into a pistol sized weapon they are horribly inaccurate as well.

Buy a pump-action style shotgun that holds atleast eight shots.

Well dude, it looks like we might hafta move to Utah. http://www.cnn.com/2008/US/02/20/cnnu.guns/index.html?eref=rss_topstories
I think that All states should do this:
" But state legislators could be moving in the opposite direction, considering a bill to modify current law to allow people in Utah -- including students -- to carry loaded weapons openly."

I'd be weighted down with not only books between classes, but a shotgun strapped to my back and pistols on both hips with a couple of boot knives. Talk about peacocking.
