...even though I don't look like it. Ok, I have salt & peppa hair, but's it's a fade, and it looks great!

My body is so toned, it's sick, I'm in better shape then most 18-30 year olds, and that's a large margin. Abs, bulging arms, huge chest, broad shoulders for any woman to rest her head on.... I'm also hung like a horse, and stamina is off the freakn hook! Still...

A friend of mine (he's 22) told me that he's bailingout of Friday night @ the bar, to go out with a very pretty chic. He has had his eye on her for a long time. I said it was totally cool, and added "..dude, what's my problem then? Why can't I get any lately?" ...his reply "..dude, you look older." I was like "wtf?!"

I'm really buggin. I've even started to go for the "older" ladies, but man! ....I really want some young flesh.

Driving home tonight, I started thinking... "maybe I am set to be a bachelor for the rest of my life now.. :( " ...while my drunkn, pot smoking, beer guzzling, much younger ex-gf aka baby's momma, is out fvckin some other dude now. That pisses me off. Not that she's fvcking someone else, but, here I am, with none of those hangups, in great shape, funny, so much more together, and I'm getting squat.

If you think it's the salt & pepper hair that is holding you back, dye it back to it's natural shade. Otherwise try a new club! Just because the silly chicks at one place shut you down, don't mean the girls at another club won't give you the love!

And is that necessarily a bad thing?

I will admit that i very much miss sharing intimacy with a woman. there have been several casual flings and whatnot over the past two years, but all fo them lacked the intimacy I shared with a couple of "good" long term relationships I have been in.

But really, other than that what else do you need from a woman that you can't get from casual sex and a little companionship?

My uncle is in his 60's and has never been married. He once told me that he WOULD get married if he ever found a woman who is worthy, but to date he hasn't found one. He's a super DJ....never met someone so self assured in my life.

I'm 36 and there has only been one woman I can look back on and say that I might have had a chance at a long lasting happy relationship with, and the biggest problem with her was that I think I met her at the wrong time in my life.

As far as your buddy's comment.....when you are 22 people who are 28 seem old.

Are you noticing a decline in the interest from younger females?

I have noticed that there is an ebb and flow to my social life. Recently the tide has moved out. Not too much on the horizon. But as recently as 6 months ago I was waist deep in the scene with women in their early 20's. It will come back around, I'm not too concerned. Gives me time to rest!

Actually, I have connections with a couple of differenet strip clubs in town. If I had the time and energy I could be "in" with that crowd. One of the clubs has some serious hotties! Not that I necessarily want to get involved in that scene anyway, but it's good to know that if I want to party it's there.

Another outlet that I haven't taken advantage of is the salon that just opened next door to my business. The owner is a DJ (as in Disk Jockey) and hosts parties once or twice every month at the salon after hours. they had a party tonight, and here I am posting on a message board instead of getting my groove on with models and dancers from a new sports team in town :(

If I had more time I would be all over that. I could ignite a spark that would set the wheels in motion to get into some VERY attractive younger women. Too bad things are the way they are.

For you.....if you're looking for younger women it would REALLY help you to get in good with a younger social group. Even getting hooked up with a couple of women who are in their mid to late 20's can usually net you some younger (early 20's) women.

Another thing that helps with younger women is status. All women want a man they can look up to, and sometimes it's that much easier to be able to gain the respect form the younger ones.

Perfect.... there's not a decline in interests from the younger women, it's just, I dunno?..... one turned me down a few weeks ago, she was 21, and I thought that her decision was not very smart, so I left it as that, and she's been like eyeballing me everyday. Cute young women get horny too, especially if they are shy, or aren't getting some.

Someone had mentioned to me that, it comes in waves... one day, it's all in your face, the next it's no where to be found type sh*t, and I totally agree. I've focused on my son, and haven't really made any attempt to express interests in being with any one else. If I am approached, yes, if not, I'll do my bidness.

I just want one woman to make that attempt to get with me... it would be so on.

Create self-fulfilling prophecies. Always assume the positive. Assume she likes you. Assume she wants to talk to you. Assume she wants to go out with you. When you think positive, positive things happen.

the fact that you are still thinking about your ex gf and the fact that you are comparing your life to other people's lives is a clear indication that while you may be 38 and in great shape, that you have some emotional maturing still left to do.

i dont mean that in an insulting way, more matter of factly.

i mean, when you are 45 are you goign to be complaining about you can't pick up 22 year old chics? what about when you are 55? or 75? i mean, at what age are you going to stop worrying about how old you are and accept yourself and just enjoy the fact that you are alive.

at some point we all must let go of our youth. we can always be young at heart, but we should become mature in spirit.

there is nothing more wasteful than trying to live in the past.

im a huge believer in embracing your present and making the best of it.

when im 75 im not going sit around moping because im not scoring 20 year old chics. im going to be kicking str8ups *ss at lawnbowling and banging my 40 year old nurse or something.

ill make the best of it.

I'm right there with you - right woman, wrong time - for both of us.

I don't feel the need for a full time woman - but there are times when it's good to share your life with someone...

hey man.. i think the problem is not that you are 38. The problem is that you are 38 and you are competing with 22 year olds on the same level as you were 15 years ago, i.e on looks and body. I couldn't help notice one of your other posts where you mention working in a warehouse.. Have you amassed much in the way of resources? That could be your problem..

Thirty eight is not old. I have ten years on you and it’s never been easier to get women. About the time I hit 40 I discovered that women in their 40’s were far more sexually aggressive than women in their 20’s and also that there are plenty of women in their late 20’s, early 30’s who tend to be more attracted to men in their 40’s than with men their own age.

In the past four years I’ve gotten women as young as 19 and as old as 52, with my main squeeze being a 29 year old beauty who once modeled for Victoria’s Secret. When I’m out and about I still get everything from girls as young as 12 to really old women openly flirting with me. (I am a habitual, insatiable flirt, fueled by my youthful celebrity-like good looks) Btw I can still hold my own in a rough and tumble game of pick up basketball with 18-20 year olds.

Never try to read a woman's mind. It is a scary place. Ignore her confusing signals and mixed messages. Assume she is interested in you and act accordingly.

Hello,

I'm currently a 35 yr old, salt n' pepper sporting, average to good looking guy. I dress "youthfully" and have been told I still look young but I bet if I dressed my age I would look it.

At the pub last night with a few buds and I was getting some serious eyes from several cute 21 yr olds at the table next to us.

The one that I talked to (the one I found most attractive) gave me some crazy buying signals but I didn't follow up on it as I'm currently in a very successful LTR.

I think that your age is actually a "state of mind". It doesn't matter if you are 25 or 45. If you feel youthful and vibrant you will still be able to attract the young cuties. If you feel old and consider yourself to be old, you are.

Good luck.

I’ll agree that as we age a certain percentage of women in their 20’s will drop away from us, see us as too old no matter what we do. But, I continue to be amazed, as others are here my age, that there are plenty that have absolutely no problems with dating us. Most problems I have encountered in attracting younger women have to do with the universal concepts of, well, basically screwing it up all by myself, independent of the age thing.

I’m now finding the “sweet spot” in age moving up a bit closer to the 30 to 35 range now for me. We just seem to fit better, people don’t make such a big fvcking deal about the age difference. It’s flattering to date a 21 year old, but you have more social annoyances to deal with and I am tending to take the easer path lately.

Btw, lots of 21 year olds are attracted to older looking guys. I had a 21 year old once who told me that she thought wrinkles on a guy were "sexy".

This whole thing about the young cuties are only looking for guys their age is crap put out by older women and perpetuated by a society that tries to pander to them.

The problem is not that you are 38 years old. The problem is you trying to qualify yourself to your friend, or his comment. He hit a nerve with something that you are sensitive about and haven't addressed yet.

Your friends was just bragging and trying to feel better about himself by teasing you, and busting balls, yet you felt bad about it. Happens to all of us at times.

Joekerr is right. Perhaps you are running out of your "extended adolesence", and it is time to embrace your aging, and not get oo stuck in the past. Can't help but to think of "Uncle Rico" from Napoleon Dynamite.

This whole "youger women older men" subject has been tossed around quite a bit.

As much as I believe that it is possible (and there is nothing wrong with) gaming women who are much younger, I get Joe's lawn bowling joke.

The most important thing to understand is that age "restrictions" are nothing more than more societal BS.

Many people still believe that when you reach a certain age you should dress a certain way, drive a certain car, and only date within a certain age range.

Who does this benefit?

If you're going to be realistic about it you have to understand that as you get older your pool of potential prospects might grow, but the older you get the higher the minimum age of women who might be attracted to you will be. That isn't to say that a guy in his 50's can't possibly attract a woman in her early 20's, but is that really what a 50 something guy is looking for? Societal bull$hit aside, why would you want a woman that age except as a trophy?

So they key is to be realistic but pay little attention to what society tells you should be done.

You could either lower your standards like a lot of guys do or realize that you need to search more purposely in order to meet more qualified women. Either way, if you put an emphasis on the end result you'll remain frustrated. Why not enjoy the spoils of the search along the way?

Everyone else who's in their early 20's is going to notice an age difference when you're late 20's and 30's and older. Some girls are going to refuse to take things anywhere with you the minute they find out the number of your age. Even if your late 30's and If you "look" like a 20-something, girls in their early 20's will be attracted to you and think nothing of it. Gray hairs and wrinkles generally tip off young girls you're not young enough for them. If you're in your 30's and it's obvious you are, you're probably going to have to be open to dating more girls who are 25 and up.

All things being equal you generally can't compete with a 22 year old guy over 21 year old girls. And why would you want to be a moronic 21 year old guy again anyway? OK I actually turn 35 in a month and game a lot of girls in their early 20's. I know it says 28, so you can see I'm a little sensitive and biased about being older. :woo:

All the advise are gold. Thanks buds....

Even though I'm 38, I'm still young, or at least, I feel young. *shrugs* I still play stupid pranks, and generally, I'm still a child at heart. I listen listen to metal, and hip hop not because it's cool but because I love that sh*t.

I do things a bit more crazier, because I know I can get away with em. I break the rules, only because I know the rules.

For the last few weeks, I've been maintaining, just staying focus and doing my thang... today this woman, she's got to be in her 40's, came in with this purple thong, and I was like SPRUNG!!! ...she wore this skimpy shirt, and when she bent over, you can catch an eye full. She was doing this all day, and I tried hard not to get a hard on. Blue balls kicked in, and I wanted to just peel those thongs off with my teeth.

After awhile, I couldn't take it anymore, and when she stepped away, I left her my #. She's got a man, but I don't care. She ripped it up, and threw it away. Again, no love, but that's ok, because after I left the # on her desk, I began to think about how I had decided NOT to go for women at work anymore, and went back to get the number, but she had already returned.

I know that the next woman I get with.... I'm going to set new personal records. :D

I'm just feeln old now because I haven't got any in a couple of months. You can be sure that once I do, I'll go back to feeln like TLM again, and get al ego maniac like, and F things up again hehe.

You young fogies really kill me - I am laughing my a$$ off down here.

I got a regular squeeze who is always "on" , a HB9 Russkie AW who is all of 25 years old who is doing some industrial strength flirting AND two other plates spinning who BOTH approach me for a dance whenever I walk in the club.
WTF is the matter with you, Kiddo!
I am 51 years old and when I get to feeling middle-aged I get out my David D CDs and play 'em for an hour , and then I go out with a NEW attitude and collect emails and # s....
