I work at a gym in the u.s. and i have been going 4 - 5 times a week to lose weight. I am about 5'7 and 170ibs. I am trying to loose weight in my stomach area. I have been going for about 2 month and all i can notice difffernt is in the place where i do nto want to lose fat like a ass. What can i do to target my stomach region? I have been lifting before my cardio so maybe i build more muscle and then in turn burn more fat, but it does not seem to be working in my stomach region.

Genetics play the major role in fat distribution. That aside, men tend to store their fat on their gut and shoulders. So you cannot target fat loss - it is impossible, without going down the surgical path. Your best bet is to keep up the cardio, the results will come.

1.) You can't lose fat in just one area of the body. That is called spot reduction, and it does not work. Doing 300 crunches a day will not give you a 6-pack when you have a keg shaped stomach, it will just create abs underneath all that disgusting fat. You have to lose fat everywhere.

2.) keep your daily calorie intake at 1800-2200. If you don't know the calorie content of your foods or the ballpark of it, then you'll be fat forever. educate yourself.

3.) do weights 3x a week, cardio 4x a week (all on seperate days. Lifting weights will increase muscle mass, which in turn will increase your metabolism and make you burn off more fat at rest. supplement protein after both cardio and weights.

4.) cardio sessions should not be longer then 15 minutes.

5.) they should be done with high intensity. what that means is, when you do cardio, it should go like this:
jog for 30 secs
sprint for 30 secs
jog for 30 secs
sprint for 30 secs...

for the 15 minutes. Don't do long cardio sessions, because you will lose muscle mass. Also there has been a study (can't find the link) that proved short duration high-intensity cardio is much more efficient at burning fat in your body then long duration steady cardio.

edit:

6.) only drink water, and drink LOTS of it.

Men frequently err by talking too much. They often monopolize conversations, droning on and on about topics that bore women to tears. They think they're impressing the women when, in reality, they're depressing the women.

Spot reduction IS completely possible with things such as localised absorbtion of Yohimbine and other compounds.

Check out Yohimbun.
