Guys, sometimes I've drank enough caffeine to kill a horse.

I workout alot and that gives me a temporary boost.

Give me your best tips to live a life full of energy...

Well caffeine gives you "spikes" of energy, but it also has the potential to make those spikes quickly plummet to almost being lathargic.
Instead of a coffee ora chocolate bar... one of the best things you can have is a piece of fruit.

Next time before training try having a PEAR and a handful of JELLY BEANS... you wont be dissapointed.

Cheers

Caffeine is bad...whenever I drink too much coffee I get really wired...almost like I'm on speed or something.

Do you sleep too little or too much? Wack off a lot?

Stop being dependant on caffeine.

Caffeine. I LOVE IT!

This is something which I realized about a month or so ago.

I had the same problem as you. I worked out 3-4 times a week, ate healthy, got 8 hours of sleep a night, drank lots of water, ate fruit, etc...

It didn't help.

Recently at work, I started to buy these 25 cent Cafe Mocha's from the machine. They are GOOD.

The caffeine changed me. It made me more talkative. It made me more confident. I was C+F... mentally alert... was having fun, and being one of those outgoing, talkative fun guys that everyone loves.

Like it said, it changed me. People would start to see me differently. People started to like me. I made friends. I was happy.

HOWEVER, about two hours later... the result? You get tired and depressed.

What did I do? I had another one. 25 cents, that's nothing.

I'd end up drinking 3 Cafe Mocha's a day. The only other side effect that I know of... is that it may disrupt your sleep. Caffeine is also an addictive drug... you'll have to have it every morning if it messes with your sleeping.

My whole goal is to use caffeine as a crutch. It's an experiment, if you will. Maybe if I do this everyday... and continue to act this way... it will help my confidence, make me more comfortable with those people and meeting people... and eventually wear off on me. I might become this person... and it might HELP me.

Any thoughts?

More energy:

1-2 gallons of water per day.
Regular exercise.
At least 8 hours of sleep each night.
No carbonated beverages.

That's cute =)

I didn't know coffee drinkers had issues. You should be a psychiatrist.

This is something that has worked for me. Try it.

I work at a car dealership... I'm surrounded by 10-20 successful car salesmen a day. I've learned by now the ONLY way to actually keep up with sales and on the ball is drinking coffee. These guys drink THREE starbucks coffee's a day. The big ones. You know how much caffeine THAT is? It helps them.

I have a coffee with 2-4 sugars in it post workout, fairly quickly after a protein shake. When you hit the 'down' part of it, you're usually so messed up cause of the workout, you're just chilled anyway.

Too much of it will make you feel like crap. I have a cup every 2 days. Thats ideal for me - usually I'll work the caffine around something stressful though. I'll take a break at work near the end of my shift, have a strong coffee, and crack through the rest of it. Or, as stated already, with a workout.

Avoid too many startchy carbs at lunchtime, too.
