Since I'm fairly young, and I want a new car, I need a nice, steady way to earn money. And since you're all (mostly) intelligent people, I was hoping you guys could help me.

I currently work at Anchor Blue for minimum wage. This isn't cutting it. I'm in college 10am-2:15pm Mon-Thurs, otherwise I have good availability, and I have excellent computer and people skills.

I'm applying to work at a warehouse for $10 per hour, but I have 6 days to decide if I really want to do that. I need a good income at a decent part-time job. I'm completely obsessed with my next car, and I'll work like a maniac to get it in my driveway.

Any ideas? Options? My current checking account balance is $1083, not bad for fresh out of high school.

If you want to make more money wait tables. Find a busy restaurant with moderate meal prices and get a job as a waiter. When I wait tables I average $25- $30 an hour. As a student, it's perfect because you can work less hours and make more money. Restaurnat managers are usually really good about working around student schedules, too.

personally i made decent money at waffle house but i made no money at places like shoneys .
my friend worked at cracker barrell and only worked 4 days a week on that income.

another friend went to ruth chris (expensive) and worked three days a week and put herself thru school and she was a single mother of two at the time.

Sales. If you can get into car sales and fit it around your college schedule, do that. Or if joining an MLM is your thing (it's not really mine), do that.
some people are naturally inclined to be in sales and its a gift. others of us couldnt sell fiber to the elderly haha.
