Well last night I told my gf of 7 months that I loved her. She told me that she loved me too and that she's been wanting to say it but she was afraid that she would scare me away. Anyways, I have said it a couple times today, but I want to make sure not to make a habit of it like just blurting out "I love you" all the time. Those of you who are in relationships or have been in relationships where you have said it and meant it, what are some of your opinions and some examples? Do women need that constant reassurance that you love them?

Quite the opposite. You're in serious AFC mode here & you need to get out of it. Read the bible and back a few pages of threads on this site, there's a lot of debate on this topic.

Quick summary: if you keep saying it you will lower her IL. If you want explanations go look it up.

dONT SAY IT AGAIN lET HER HUNGER FOR IT, FOR A FEW MONTHS 3 OR FOUR THEN SUPRIZE HER WITH IT WHEN SHE IS BEING REAL SWEET, JUST LOOK INTO HER EYES AND STARE . . . . SHE WILL SAY " WHAT, WHAT IS IT ? " , PAUSE FOR A SECOND . . . .THEN SAY TO HER " THINKING OF HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU ". tHAT WOULD MEAN MORE TO HER THAN JUST TELLING YOU LOVE HER, EVERY DAY !

IF YOU GET INTO A HABIT OF SAYING IT, SHE WILL EXPECT IT EVERY DAY TO FEEL SPECIAL UNTILL THE DAY THAT IT ISNT SPECIAL ANYMORE. THEN HER IL WILL CREEP DOWN !

I am in an LTR for a year now. I waited like you until 7 months before i said it. That was a little over 5 months ago. Over that 5 month span of first saying till today i probably havent said "I love you" more than 4 times. Use it sparingly and be sincere, but most importantly know and be sure that it is love and not infatuation or anything else.

Follow the advice, dont turn it into a hello.

Girl might also say "tell me you love me ****". play with her, and never say it. then say it when she doesnt expect it
