If you're a guy with money, you will find a way to get laid. If money is the only thing you have going for you as a man, you'll get laid.

You don't want to compete solely on money/status. It's not a good place. Bill Gates is one of the best examples of a guy who marketed himself to women on money/status alone. All it got him was some mediocre looking careerist woman.

Plenty of men who are not Bill Gates compete only on money. The 50-55 year old men only having sex with 18-25 year old women are doing it mostly on money and occasionally on the money/status combo.
