Over the course of the past fe months I have "changed" and I beleve it is for the best. For years and years and years all I have been about is school an work. However, I have come to realize that school has been keeping me from being the best I can.

I have always had the though ever since I was in middle school that I would eventually grow up to be a very wealthy white collar like person of some sort, I always saw may self wearing a suit.

In June of this year I started a specific school program with the sole purpose of acquiring skills and certifications. From what I have been told the jobs start off at least $60K/year.

I feel like this is the moment I have been waiting for. The moment to finally let go of all I feel I have been let up to believe I was supposed to live up to.

If I can make $60K/year for the rest of my life forever I feel I can live forever being debt free with no kids and no heavy stress.

Know that as you get older and gain more experience you become more valuable in the market place.

In your 30s you should see a greater income than in your 20s. And in your 40s....look out! The is the time when you generally peak with your earning potential. It's also the time when women really take notice of you, women who are in their late 30s or early 40s will start letting you know you can have them if you have ever expressed interest in them. Also young attractive girls in their 20s will ask you out on occasion, totally unexpectedly.

The more resources you have, the more women take an interest in you. Be careful and don't hook up with a woman who will suck you dry of everything. You have an exciting life ahead of you, I think.

Also, some jobs will cause you heavy stress. If you ever find yourself in one, there are always other jobs out there with a better work life balance. Don't settle for any job, take career risks and you will do great in life.

That salary depends a lot on your location and inflation. I make more than 60k and I don't feel completely satisfied with it to the point I would be happy making it for life. I live in the city and it doesn't go nearly as far as it would in a rural area.

bmp2cpm above is correct though. Starting at 60K you will see large jumps in your salary in the coming years. By your 40's you will likely be making 6 figures.

BUT avoiding the trappings of marriage, kids and debt will ensure you don't need all that much money to live comfortably. Debt and marriage are slavery. Kids too in a way.

You are on a good path and your head is in the right place.

Stick to it and don't get manipulated by women or jealous faggots on the way. I would advise you to start investing some of your extra income as well. Eventually you want to leave the rat race and retire early if you can (because why not?). Avoiding marriage and kids are a good way to ensure this happens as long as you save and invest along the way. This is my ultimate goal.

Thanks for the advice guys. another one of my intentions is to lower me debt. So far I owe $9k in student loans and am just barely half way through the bachelors degree that I want . Thank goodness I began to pay out of pocket when I became uneligible for financial aid.

The position I get will be some sort of blue collar job. As much as it pains me to put school on hold I know its for the best. It feels very strange, however.

I do know that I want to finish my degree, but I feel like school will not be going anywhere. If all goes well I will get into a company that offers some form of education program. I have been told they have these.

Has anyone else been in a similar situation?
