I orignally posted this on another forum.

Present company excluded. I have to extend my heart felt thanks and gratitude to the people who run this site for being one of the few places on internet that allow for a free flow of discussions and ideas.

Anyway, what burns me up about message boards is the "dictatorial attitdude," that some people take with their boards. I realize that these things are people's "babies," and that since the moderators and administrators were *****ed around in high school, and they continue to be *****ed around today, that being able to dictate board policy and having the power to ban people gives purpose to what would otherwise be a meaningless and shiftless life.

I've been banned from two, what will probably be three message boards, and given a warning on another for stating what is merely my opinion. Am I crass? Yes. Am I crut? Probably? Do I have a filthy ****ing mouth? You bet. But to toot my own horn, I feel that I'm honest and thoughtful. I feel that everything that I've posted, especically concerning men and women relationships has made people stop and think for a minute. Folks may not have liked what I've said and completely disagreed with it, but I hoped I've had a chance to give folks a chance to see where I'm coming from.

I posted the "Frankenstein," "The Why Did You Reject The Nice Guy," Thread, and the "Tired Guy's" letter on www.afrochat.net ( for some interesting reading, read the responses to that) The ***** ass administrator closed the "Frankenstein," and "Nice Guy," threads. He accused me of having "issues with the sistas," and told me to post something "respectful," next time.

This really pissed me off. I basically opened another thread that said these three things,

1) If you don't want people being critical of women. Then post it in the rules of the site.

2) You can't talk about respecting people, when you don't even have the common courtesty to respect other people's opinion.

3) I told the administrator of the site that when he got home to ask his sigificant other for her purse, so he can retrieve his balls from it. That comment will probably get me banned.

It's amazing that on this forum we're able to have a discussion on the topic, but on another, people resorted to personal attacks, don't answer the questions posed, then thread orignator isn't even given a chance to respond. Why have a message board if your not willing to accept people the opinions of people with different experiences or views?

You guys read those threads, do you think they should've been closed? Anyway, thanks for allowing me this time to vent.

If your even remotely attractive, you'll have guys constantly coming up to you trying to holla. I know this from experience.
True, but "holla" is usually defined as "hump & dump." :D

Anyways, those are all the same damn wedge issues you see repeated every week on every message board. Let's see:

Nice Guy Vs Jerk
Does Size Matter?
Do Looks Matter?
IR Dating
Do you believe in abortion?
Evolution Vs Creationism?
Christianity is BS!
9II C0nspir@cy
Stop illegal immigration!
Who's the League's best <insert position here>?

Basically, you pick an issue that straddles 2 "opposing" camps separated by gender, race, religion, nationality, politics, etc...and let the sparks fly!

And by page 35...rest assured you will be back at square 1 again and ready to rehash the same topic in another week! :D :cheer:

This is one of the better message boards on the 'Net (at least that I've seen).

It looks to me like you're taking message boards in general way too seriously / personally. It's good to be passionate about your beliefs, but without a certain level of emotional detachment you're going to get too wrapped up in posting and lose sight of the big picture, which is the message you're trying to convey.

Moderators are supposed to be "above the fray", but they're human, and everyone has buttons to push. Sounds like you're good at pushing 'em. Damn near everyone who's posted on message boards for any amount of time is guilty of "jumping in the mud". If you're always the first one in the mud, then you're a troll. If you never do it, then you're a robot. Most of us are in between. If you find yourself at either end of the spectrum, then Simon says take one giant step backward, and seriously consider what you're trying to accomplish.

2) You can't talk about respecting people, when you don't even have the common courtesty to respect other people's opinion.

3) I told the administrator of the site that when he got home to ask his sigificant other for her purse, so he can retrieve his balls from it. That comment will probably get me banned.
There's one obvious problem: Quick to demand respect, and quick to completely disregard it.
