Well the title pretty much sums it up. I tend to blush quite often and sometimes I can't even tell if I am or not. My friends are always sure to point it out with a "Haha you're blushing." Does anyone have any advice on how to not blush so much or maybe a funny way to respond to them saying this? Also a couple more questions: how do you make the redness go away quicker once you blush and how long does the redness usually last? I'm never around a mirror when I'm blushing so I can't tell if it stays for 10 seconds or a whole minute or what. Thanks in advance.

i'm not positive, so don't sue me if im wrong ;)

but i believe that blushing is caused by embarassment, which is caused by less-then-high levels of self esteem.

my suggestion? do a couple of truly embarrassing things.

for example, i have a dreadlock wig and and big furry green hat. Whenever I feel like school is too dull or boring, i wear them for the day.

now granted, I am almost impossible to embarrass, but do a couple of things like this and you will flush the blush right out of you, you'll no longer get embarrassed by little things.

don't go too nuts tho, this works for me cause im an outgoing kinda guy.

have fun
love deb

ps i once wore a hugh hefner style robe and slippers to school. it was excellent!

When I blush my face turns red like a tomato! Basically I would blush too much for too little and I couldn't control it. For example I would start blushing really bad for things that I wasn't truly that embarrased about and I couldn't control it. Because my face turns red like a tomato everyone would notice and of course I would get comments. Now as time has passed I have more control of it now and I don't blush so much anymore and not as intense.

Reminds me of something the Holy Bible (not dj bible) says about those that blush being from the tribe of Adam or something . Gonna have to read it to see if its a good thing he he.

Blushing is usually caused by a feeling of nervousness or insecurity. In order to get rid of the problem we gotta start at the root of it all.

Sometimes when I find myself blushing its because I'm feeling somewhat intimidated by the other person. Then I look at the person and see how we are not so different after all. If you can relax yourself and feel good about what you are saying/doing, the blushing will go away.

Notice how most people don't blush when talking to their family members- its because they feel that they are in their comfort zone. Now, believe it or not but this comfort zone is portable! You can take that feeling inside of you anywhere when confronting ANYONE!

YOU CAN DO IT IF YOU BELIEVE!
