What make you think Howard Stern was a DJ?

The guy was a NATURAL AFC. And continues to be one.

Why was he stupid for getting engaged? He has been with her for a long time.

I don't think there's anything intrinsically wrong with getting married. For me it's about who wears the pants, not how many "plates" I have spinning. As long as I get what I need that's what is important. Simple.

Keep it simple man.

What is he "gaining" by marrying her or anyone?
If she divorces him...he loses MUCH more than win.

Beth O - his g/f seems to be pretty subservient, so my guess is that he's in control in the relationship.

I'm happy for him and yeah Opie and Anthony (and Jim Norton) are MUCH funnier.

You bring up a good point. I don't see why people rush to get married anyways --- you can just have a LTR and if it happens to last a lifetime, great!

Marriage is just a big religious vestige.

.
That's what people thought of Heather Mills. The NOW very rich ex-wife of Paul McCartney.

Just because a man has money does not mean he should be scared of marriage. There are women out there that aren't digging for gold. Im not saying his fiance is or isnt one of these women, but you all act as if only poor men should get married.

Pre-nup or not, I still fail to see what he gains from marriage. He already has kids. He always complained when he was married that he was not able to take advantage of his stardom to bed all kinds of women. Now he has the chance to have 100s of women and he is throwing it away. He is a dissappointment to us all!

I don't know if he's a chump or not, but he's definitely a liar. He preached against marriage for a year until his show ended last year. He said marriage was not for him because he tried it once and it failed so we and Beth would never get married. He also said he wold never divorce his wife because they had a certain understanding that radio was his lifestyle.

That's the hard part about having a talk show I guess. You say things passionately at one time that you can never take back.

when men get old they get the desire to be married. they are thinking down the road to when they are really old and will need someone to help them with things. women live longer than men, so its a good deal as odds are you will have companionship till your dying day. and when your 70 with saggy balls, just having someone around that gives a sh*t is your top priority.

dont be surprised if he was the one who wanted the marriage more than she did.

and yes, personally i think stern is a moron. sure his stuff is funny at times, but what a waste of a life hes had. hes had about as much positive impact on the world as that anna nicole smith.

You essentially upped your VALUE in her eyes by showing her that, if she wants you, she has to at times do things that you like to do. You are SOMETHING after all. You are NOT FREE. If she wants to hang with you, it's going to cost her something — time, effort, money.
