How would a Don Juan reply, if a girl said he was sexy?

Well yeah, today in Math class this girl said, "Damn, you are cute" Yadayada, what surprised me even more is she said "Can I be your girlfriend?", man I was stumped, no girl has EVER said anything like that to me, so I say something like "Well... your cute, but not hot. Although, if I get to know you and I like your personality, something could happen here.". I was shocked when she said this to me, with my "No girl could ever find me attractive" mindset, I was straight stumped at that "Can I be your girlfriend?" comment, there were like 7 or 8 other people in the class at the time, about 6 of them waiting to hear what I was going to say. So I basically want to know, did I handle the situation correctly? What would a Don Juan have done in this situation?

Well, Im assuming this wasnt a "joke on you"......if everyone was all serious, she was probably asking legitimetly.

When a girl asks if she can be your girlfriend (this is very rare...not even the master PUA's get asked this....this is why i am wary Viper got asked this, but ill belive it for the sake of purpose)

Intruiged

At this level...there is no need to be ****y and funny as much....you could have just said a simple yet effective Yes. (that is if you liked her also)

Hell no she wasn't joking, firstly she wasn't saying it in a laughing term, she almost seemed a little nervous, plus she seemed very interested. The reason the class was waiting to see what I said, is because they know I'm not a ladies man and know that girls don't usually give me replies like that. Plus, they didn't laugh, joke or tease me about it later on, so I know it wasn't a joke.

I've been asked before too on plenty of occasions when I was younger, but I make the move quicker now so it doesn't really give them chance.

Personally I respond to all favourable comments with something along the lines of "you've got great taste" or similar, and smile. Or just, as Smooth Player says, say "Yes" or "thank you". The trick is not to go as red as a slapped arse and start shaking. Make it sound natural.

no, I've never had to deal with that BS where a girl works through her friend.

maybe you don't have the social proof required to get girls to ask you out, but to say it never happens is just showing your own ignorance. be a little more open minded.

No, initially you meant in general, but then when you were proven wrong, then you changed your viewpoint to "just while sarging." That doesn't at all apply to his situation though because it's in class. Meaning he's already most likely met the girl.

And obviously a girl that you've just met isn't gonna straight up ask to be your girlfriend. But it's not uncommon for one to ask you out, meaning just on a date or to hang out (in high school generally to hang out because most people don't ask others out on dates anymore).

And what's that phase shift, routine 44 bullshit? We're talking about picking up girls here, not strategizing a World War II invasion.

I just don't like that so many people on here give really bad advice.

And also I think the people that intently follow the "gurus" and use tactics and strategies to get girls, like they're a general making a plan of attack in a war, are dumb.
