The best way to deal with that is to prepare beforehand/ upfront in any man's mind for that possible situation to arise. (Not to get negative thoughts but think as a clear minded MAN while in the first stages of courtship that it always could end sometime).

Always be prepared for the WORST up front. Don't dwell on it or get insecure about it. Just realize it could and may happen to yourself as it's happened to countless others and may or will happen to her too.
