Have a snack after working out, like a protein bar or somthing that you eat after working out. If you dont work out you dont eat it, so if your hungry you will work out so you get to eat.

This works for me because i have a fairly strict diet because if i eat when im hungry i cant maintain 9% bofyfat.

If you eat when you want, this obviously wont help you, unless you work out in the evening and say to yourself, im not going to eat anything else for the rest of the night unless i work out. But then you got to make sure you keep to that :p

Isn't the fact that you're a lot more likely to get diabetes, die of heart disease, and be fat when you get older enough if you don't go?

Or how about being more successful with women, being able to defend yourself better, haveingmore self confidence, feeling generally better and happier if you do go?

What do you want? A pill?

wtf? you can't eat when you want???

Dude, are you anorexic or something, EAT WHEN YOU want. That's when your body needs energy...

If you want to maintain a certain weight, do more cardio, don't starve your body.

Hey dont start accusing me of not being able to motivate myself. I can, but im sure im not the only one here that sometimes feels like they cant be bothered.

I dont starve myself, i have a decent breakfast lunch and dinner, and a few other bits and pieces during the day, im certainly not anerixic, i do cardio a few times a week but if i eat what ever i want my weight stabalises at about 72kg and a 13% body fat, which is alright but its not 'cut' so now i weigh about 67kg and around 9% bodyfat.

I remember reading in several places that rewarding yourself for doing something you don't like has a tendency to backfire and turn you off to the reward - you associate it with the thing you don't like and it loses value in your eyes.

Here's my theory on motivation: You do something because you like doing it, not because of what doing it will get you. On the other hand, if you don't like doing something, then no amount of benefit will motivate you to do it.

I think that this is the best way of explaining how many people who do things are seemingly unmindful of rewards or benefits and how many more people who don't do things seem not to care about what they're losing.

Watch a little bit of a bodybuilding film before hitting the gym. A particular favourite in the sport is the scene In 'Pumping Iron' where Ed Corney goes to total failure on squats and collapses on the ground afterwards - Arnold just racks the weight and gets ready to start his set.

Or, B, listen to some death metal - get angry - lift.
