How to make more Friends

ok so i just moved to a totally new country. ive been in school for a week now and ive gotten to KNOW quite a bit of people so being in school is pretty fun.
however heres the prob: once i get home im bored as a mother****er!!! my contact list on my phone is pretty small compared to the one back over in Europe
What im wondering is how to meet guys after school, weekend without sounding gay. Ive asked a couple guys to the gym but they do their own workouts at home (ive asked like 4 guys). i also asked about parties and such and they responded with giving a hint of invatation to me

so how can i take a friendship from school and take it outside aka so i can get a life!!

Do you have a job? Even if you don't need the money, it'd be good to get a part-time one at the mall or something in addition to meeting people at school. Besides, more money never hurts.

just be truthful and funny, cuz everyone likes a funny dude. like "so wut do u guys do here, i'm bored at home, i need to do somethang fun!!!"
