How do you guys maintain facial skin smooth, soft to prolong your youth? Do you get facial skin peel once a decade or botox? :)

Use lotion and mostly avoid the sun. People who work inside and don't lay out have nice skin.

Botox and skin peels freak me out.

Make sure you are getting plenty of omega and fish oil in your diet. My skin is smooth as a babies bottom. one sexy biatch here.

For acne I would see a dermatologist and don't use mineral oil or excess sunscreen on your face. Ask your derm for something else. Sunscreen will age your skin.

Peace

Did dermatologist tell you sunscreen will age your skin? I am currently taking fish oil. I don't know how would it affect my skin.

Lots of Vitamin E.

At this point you probably have a woman (or multiple women) chasing you around, calling you all the time, wanting to be with you. So let's talk about how to KEEP a woman interested in you once you have her. This is BIG! There is nothing worse than getting dumped by a woman that you really, really like.

Wear sunblock in moderation when you go out during the day. SPF 15 is good enough for most situations.

If you want to go somewhat metro, get a facial done by a skin care professional. It will cost around $100 to $150 for a good one, but your skin will look fantastic. Depending on your skin type, diet, and enviroment, you probably only need to do it 4 times a year. More really screws up your skin.

Finally, don't shave every day. Shaving constantly ruins your skin.

Picard.

I would suggest some olive oil in your diet as well.

My dermatolist reccomended olive oil. He also stated that there are several chemicals found in otc sunscreen that can enhance dna damage when combined with excessive sun exsposure..

Here is a copy of some literature I found on the subject.

Some will obvioulsy rip on it but use your own discretion.

So now you're thinking that the minerals titanium dioxide and zinc oxide might be "safe" sunblocks, right? Isn't that what "natural" personal care products manufacturers have suggested?

The shocking truth is the fact that both chemical sunscreens (avobenzone, methoxycinnamate, padimate-o and the like) and physical sunblocks (titanium dioxide and zinc oxide) have been found to generate free radicals when exposed to sunlight, which then can attack the nuclei of your skin cells and cause mutations. That´s right: they can cause skin cancer. Furthermore, sunscreen chemicals have been found to pass through the skin and mimic the effects of estrogen, which may disrupt the delicate balance of the body´s natural hormones.

The following excerpt is taken from a book called "Sunscreen Photobiology—Molecular, Cellular and Physiological Aspects": "Illumination of titanium dioxide suspensions with sunlight can degrade organic materials and purify drinking water, while illumination with short wave UV kills human cells. This work shows that the distinction between 'chemical' sunscreens and 'physical' sunscreens, attractive though it may be to those who market them, is not based on any significant difference. Both varieties have the potential to produce reactive species that can attack biological materials (human skin cells) when they are exposed to normal sunlight... What is established is that particles of titanium dioxide as large as 220 nm can enter human cells in culture, and so it seems entirely plausible that if titanium dioxide does pass through skin it could enter cells under the skin (carrying with it the absorbed UVA and UVB radiation and hydroxyl radicals)."

Titanium dioxide is now being used as a new treatment for window glass because it attacks and degrades anything that touches it, thereby helping to keep windows clean. You probably don't want to have anything attacking your skin!

How the hell can sunscreen age your skin?

Being out in the sun sunscreen or not can very well increase your skin aging, but with sunscreen you reduce the chances of skin cancer and sunburn.

Get your facts straight, if your statement is backed by "dermatologists" then you post some links to some valid websites showing proof that sunscreen cream itself will age your skin. And if there were any truth to what you said, the benefits of wearing sunscreen than not outweighs the "aging" matter.

WTF! Can you not read the excerpt. It is from a book..do you know what that is? A book?

You make absolutely no sense. What part of the paragraph on the chemicals leading to skin cancer don't you understand.

Cnn actually did a report on this two weeks ago. Do you live under a rock?

What's going to age your skin more, the sun or the sunscreens? You'll have a very, very hard job finding an effective sunscreen which doesn't contain any of the chemicals listed above.

As for soft skin:

1. Cleanse
2. Exfoliate (with AHA or BHA)
3. Moisturise
4. Protect from sun

Drinking water and having a good diet helps too, like the other posts have said.

Facial peels are good. I got a bottle of glycolic acid from Ebay. It's got rid of most of the redmarks/scars from my acne in about 6 weeks, (one peel per week).

Well, don't shave every day if it is possible. The more I shave, the more damage I do to my skin. Also stuff like aftershave and shaving cream have a habit of drying out your skin. If you must shave every day, only use hot water and a high quality razor, not those, 5 for a dollar kind you see at Wal Mart.

Moron, if this were from a book and if you're such a genius, like I said before why don't you name this book with the ISBN or Amazon.com link. Let me read it up fully before uneducated people start walking around in the sun for hours getting their skin fried and juiced for cancer without skin protection.

tj squirts his manjuice all over his face to protect himself from the sun.

His face is leathery and blistered from all the sun he's been getting as a result of not using sunscreen. But I guess he seems to love his own manjuice and perhaps other jizzisms from other men.

Sunscreen isnt perfect. Its got chemicals just like everything else.

Dont believe it? Look at the list of chemicals and do a search for each and every one. Get some backgrounf info.

Until you do that. Shut your mouth. Let the people who know what theyre saying do the talking.

Men frequently err by talking too much. They often monopolize conversations, droning on and on about topics that bore women to tears. They think they're impressing the women when, in reality, they're depressing the women.
