Trying to be alpha is about the least alpha thing you can do. Intentionally trying to look alpha is definitely trying to be alpha.

Being alpha has nothing to do with how you dress, how you look etc, it's a state of mind...ie, it's something you project. If you want to look alpha then be alpha. How do you be alpha? You become authentically 'you' as you move through the world. You don't 'try' to be anything...you simply are. You engage the world on your own terms and do what is right for you and you do so unapologetically. You don't do this by wearing an expensive watch.

again.. its about looks only. if was talking about the theory on body language, on what matters more. that would be discussion for another thread.

and for the love of hoodia,
dont freakin tell me that dressing alpha is not important.

Its the suit that gets him into the mind frame-set just as well as having the internally belief system.

You missed the point. Dressing in a suit is NOT alpha. And, in fact, if it's not representing WHO YOU ARE, it's going to INCONGRUENT and NOT alpha at all.

Dressing alpha is dressing with what is authentically you. For some guys...sure that's a suit. For others, it's going to be a punk rocker look, for others, much more casual. For others, it's a top hat.

Take a confident, 'alpha' (I hate that word) guy, and REGARDLESS of what he wears he is going to project an 'alpha' image much more clearly than an AFC you put in a suit. Bottomline. So, again, I repeat, 'looking alpha' has nothing to do with what you wear, your jawline (I know plenty of pudgy guys who are 'alpha'), it's all about your attitude and WHAT YOU PROJECT.

Saying, "dress in a suit to be alpha" is completely misconstrued advice.

Now, if you wanted to make the argument that it's a two way relationship...dress in a certain way and it might affect your internal state. Well, that's a bit more tenable. Still, though, it is going to bring about SHORT RUN results at best.

I agree it's how you think and how you hold yourself. An alpha male can appear alpha in a jean jacket or jogging pants!

This reminds me of a guy I work with. The attire for everyone is "Business Casual" And believe me, we interpet that REAL fukking loosely. Well, this one supervisor shows up in his suit and tie, and catches HELL for it all day, from everyone, except the two managers who's asses he would probably lick corn out of after a good turd. "Oh you look great today, so professional" as he gets a hug, and a big ups from the Director, and his peers are making gag noises behind his back.

I wear jeans, boots and a Black sleeveless shirt 90% of the time. It is my look, I am comfortable in it, and no one seems to care, and I like it that way.

I think you all missed the POINT OF THIS Thread.
its not about " How to Be a Real Alpha" Thread..

ANd opened thisi can of worms about..oh looks is not important, but the inside counts. Like I said, that is not the point.

Its What woud look alpha TO a WOmen SImply looking at a guy and nothing else.

What looks like it..height=status. ( point blank )
An alpha mane has a strong jaw , the leader of men Has a Strong Jaw and thats why ITS ATTRActive to women.

Short haircuts, makes you look like the leader of mean ..

THe suit extentuates the shoulders.. WHy ? All people of higher authority like generals Always have exteuduates shoulders uniforms think generals, commanders, business executives.

"oh , just wear whatever you want," and use lines and other states. No one is denying your higher level of thinking on this. But thats not the point, this is a real dumbed down just what loooks alpha

IT is Simply a Looks Thread. Body language says alot, but were not talking about internal states, whatever.

This is still being attached to external factors to alter one's state of mind.

Becoming DEPENDANT on a factor, that is external, without the proper mind frame is building a hous of sand. It will blow away.

Emotional Strength cannot be faked.

getting state from a suit is probably the most Beta and weak notion that any male could advocate.

Again, like Francisco stated why take shortcuts in BEING a MAN?

Why would any guy truly desire to PRETEND?

Because he has no Identity or Self Worth.

That is not ALPHA.

Original Poster:

What you are suggesting is akin to a thread about, "How to Use My Bucket in the Most Efficient Way Possible to Get Water Out of My House Because My Roof is Leaking."

Could we come up with cool and innovative ways for the rest of the day on how to use that bucket? You bet.

Now, someone (or, in this case, several) come along and suggest you get that damn leak fixed. You then respond, "This isn't a thread about fixing roofs it's about using my bucket."

Well, NO, this thread is about BEING alpha (which is the problem here, similiar to the leak), not using your bucket as a temporary fix. Anyone that continues to debate 'correct bucket tactics' would appear a bit loony.

So what happens when you actually run into a guy who is alpha, what would you do?

dude it's all based on how you project yourself. If you talk about pure looks, well every woman has a different taste in what they think looks good on a man. Some like short haircuts and nice clothes. Others like a more laid back and scruffy look. There is no one way to LOOK alpha. Being alpha is more of an attitude then a look. You are not understanding the concept and try to defend yourself when others tell you that you're wrong.

Pretend ? whose pretending ? If you FEEL alpha. You Dress Alpha. You take care of your looks so you are socially acceptable

Yes, a suit to go have coffee. I think he might be a little under-dressed for everyday interactions. He should own a couple of tuxedos.

Wait a second, isn't being Alpha attest to being a leader? How many Alphas are looking for acceptance from their peers? If they need acceptance are they truly Alpha?

Alpha much like a DJ is a way of being, not a way of looking. A guy who is Alpha or a DJ is one no matter what he wears. Superman didn't need a cape to be Superman and his seeming lack of respect as Clark Kent wasn't because of his glasses, it was because of his actions.

To the detractors: Yeah, Superman is fictional but I like superheros and I'm just making a point.

ok, i'm defeinitely supporting the notion that it doesn't matter what u wear, but I'll tell you that I did change my style and I saw a huge difference in getting babes. I started wearing more Affliction shirts, mostly black ones, sported a big black watch with a thick band, and spiked my hair. I saw a world of a difference, it was like night and day. Girls seem to very attracted to this type. just saying...

There is a difference between acting and being a alpha male. If you are and or being a alpha male. It does not matter how tall you are or how you dress. Now trying to act like a alpha people will see through the bullsh!t and call you out. Stop trying to pretend to be alpha; BE Alpha!!

On the dressing thing. Yes, its good to dress well and look good. But, dressing a certin way doesn't make you that way.

Ex; A kid can dress like a gangster but, that does not mean he really is. And people will see through that!

ITS WHAT YOU DO AND HOW YOU ACT!! Get off this other bullsh!t...
