How to get the intelligent/nerd label off?

It seems like I have always had a problem with this. I believe that most girls label me a nerd just becuase I am smart and do well at school. I don't understand how i get stereotyped into that, I dont carry reading books around with me all the time, I am seriously unorganized, I am pretty funny(especailly when using dirty humor), and i dont fall into the clothing style that most nerdy people do.

I've just started to try to work in DJ technique into my lifestyle. I never had to worry about C&F, but kino is a little more difficult. I get alot of smiles from the ladies which builds my social proof. I still however think that I will get slighted because I am smart.

What do you guys suggest I do?

Just start talkin to the people that you want to be around. Use your sense of humor since you have a good one to your advantage, from my experience I can tell you that nothing gets people to like you better then being open and funny. Once you make a couple friends with the status you want to be, they will introduce you to other people and eventually you will just be where you want to be. All it takes is for you to go out and do it.

Don't talk about school when around others, when people call you smart just shrugg your shoulders or something, and don't brag about being smart. (I'm not saying you do, but that is a big no-no)

Join a sport, thats a big plus my friend.


I have a 4.0 GPA, but no one degrades me because I'm smart. Of course, there are those people that rip on me cause of my grades, but those people are jealous because they realize they have no direction in life. Plus, I don't really care what they think, cause they are soooo dumb its not even funny.

What do you guys think about track and field and cross country?

Plus I have a large amount of friends and acquientances (sp?) i dont have a problem making friends but it seems like I am trapped in the friend zone.

track is awsome, ive run track since freshman year and i love it. the sprints are the shiat i run the 100, 200, 400, 4x100, 4x200, and the 4x400. but im only allowed to do 4 races at a meet and im pretty good at the 400 so i mostly just run that and the 4x400 unless they need my blazing speed elsewhere.

In addition to the above tips, I'd recommend lifting weights. A skinny guy will always look nerdier than a muscular guy.

Hold your intelligence high bro! No reason for the few of us who have it to be ashamed.

The truth be told girls love intelligent men. I assume you're in high school but if you're headed to college, being smart is what it's all about here at the university. So if nothing else once you're done with high school and move on, you shouldn't have any trouble with girls.

As far as your situation now, I never saw a correlation between intelligence and women in high school. Some smart dudes got the *****es, some complete jackasses without a brain cell did too. Because really, high school ladies aren't mature enough to care about what a guy's got going on inside his head. They only care about what that guy means inside other people's heads. Reputation baby. All that matters.

So how to turn that around? You're your own worst enemy in that situation. Look at yourself, do you really feel that way about yourself, as a nerd. Me, I got straight A's, I didn't give a sh*t if they called me one because now I'm reelin in the good grades in college and they aren't doing a damn thing with their lives. But I was far from a nerd too. The more you feel a particular way about yourself, the more likely everyone else will perceive you as that trait.

Strive to be one of the few people in society today that can make themselves invisible to social barriers. I think I've reached that point now, but then again either in college or in the workplace it's not nearly as prevalent as it is in the public eduation system.

My best advice to you is develop that personality that no one can help but to like. How to do that? Haven't quite figured it out myself yet, but I've got myself surrounded by good people in a good situation right now. Sounds like a good topic for a post, but also sounds like a post that's been covered a billion times, so search away my friend.

But most importantly, don't take the advice of the first f*ckface that posted on your thread. Start takin drugs and I'll kick your ass.

Intelligence and being a nerd are 2 different things.

Most nerds are intelligent because they don't have much of a social life, and so they read, go on the computer, etc.

I have yet to meet a woman who's impressed by a lack of intelligence. Women love being mentally stimulated. If you're smart,use it, don't hide it.

It can get really boring. It takes a while for it to work.
A woman I knew came over my house. Of course I was still trying out the "Super-AFC" (Pook, oh Pook) combined with my intelligence. I really freaked her out. She left out of the house bow-legged and wondering "what a smart stud..."

That worked for me. Honest to god. I'm DAMN smart, do well in school without trying, etc. and it always made me an outsider to some degree. Once I started smoking the ganja and word got around that I was, I had a ton more friends.

Only downside is, it'll limit the girls that will date you - some are just so against drugs it's impossible. But that's one way to go.

This is so very true. It's easier to intelligent and change your style than to have style and to try to increase your intelligence.

Just beef up your socialization skills and present yourself in a attractive way by making women feel good about themselves while they are with you. That's all there is to it.
