Ok, so whats the best way to get rid of them or at least get them flat? I used to be overweight. I weighed 240 lbs. In the matter of a year i dieted and worked out some and managed to get down to 159 lbs. Believe it or not. Mainly due to the Atkins diet and drinkin tons of water everyday for about 3 months, then i changed it up and just watched my carbs real well for the rest of that year.

I'd say that i'm still in good health and weigh as of now around 165-170lbs. 6'2 ft. tall. I've sorta got a small pooch, mainly cuz i didnt work out hardly any when i was on the diet. but now im going to the gym everyday and running and watching my carbs and calories. And i havent drank a soft drink since the summer of 2002. Only water.

But the one thing i didnt lose when i was on the diet was my boobs. In the last 8 months ive noticed they have gotten smaller, but they're still there. And i want them flat as a board, even with my chest. I'd like to be able to where a tight fitted shirt (not superman tight), but you know. But the only thing stoppin me is that my boobs kinda are noticeable. And i wouldnt mind losin them before college starts back in Sept.

If anyone can help me, id appreciate it.

i think if you excercise just pec areas your boobs will only get bigger since muscle will be sticking out even more,so the only thing i can think of is to lower your overall body fat.

You might have gynecomastia, a disease where your manboobs are permenant due to this small gland that resides in your pectoral region.

I got surgery for this a year ago and life has been great since then. You have to find the right surgeon for the job though.

Make sure you actually have gynecomastia before commencing with surgery though.

If you want more information, the best site is

gynecomastia.org

This is where I got all my info.

If you're from Ontario, you can get the surgery covered by OHIP.

Gynecomastia is a serious problem, in a very, very small minority of men. The rest simply need to diet and work out properly. What is your body fat %? Determine that before you decide to lay out $6,000 to a surgeon. Chances are, you simply need to put on muscle and loose fat.

Gynecomastia is often caused by low testosterone levels. Testosterone can be increased by hormone therapy, but, and this is the way I suggest to go, also by diet and exercise.

Now, you say that you have a pooch (sorry, don't know what that means) from not working out. Isn't it possible that you also have small breasts from the same thing?

Here is my advice, and it is free. Bulk for a bit until you have a decent amount of muscle. Oh, I know, you don't want to put on the weight you just lost. However, you need to gain muscle. You lost the fat once, you can do it again. Once you actually have muscle, cut. Don't stop until you reach 10% bf or less. If you still have boobs at that point, go to the doctor, pay the money.

Problem with gynecomastia is that I see too many people who are 5'8" and weigh 220lbs complaining about it... Like they don't see the belly and love handles.

Of course, a surgeon will do all this for you, no effort needed, just cash.

You are the classic Atkins case. A skinny fat guy! You start off a pear, and you end up a smaller pear. You need to *work* if you want to transform your body!

On how to bulk and cut, see the stickies.

Bingo. Again, and everyone say it with me, "You can't spot reduce." You must peel off the layers of the onion. Oh, I know, that is *not* what we want. Damn the creator atleast once more!

if you have gyno you'd have firm tissue below the nipple region. If you are using gear and are starting to get sensitive nipples, get on anti-estrogens quick: nolvadex or tamoxifen. If you let things go to far, you will need surgery to remove those *****es.

You have to reduce your bodyfat further.

Congrats on the weightloss you've already achieved, by the way. That's awesome.

6 ft 2 in. w/ man boobs at less than 160 lbs. I call bullsh!t or else you're the absolute skinniest guy in the universe with man boobs. Get a Tanita scale/body fat measuring device and report back the actual weight/body fat percentage.

wtf tamoxifen is nolvadex. nolvadex is just the name of the product of the company that makes it. what he talking about is either get nolvadex or clomid for gyno.

who cares
it has to do with your testosterone/ estrogen levels.... foods that you eat such as soy can raise youre estrogen levels (the female hormone)....and things such as acohol can lower testosterone levels....also fats probably since you were on the atkins diet you got a lot of fat from meats, and stuff which lowers testosterone......turns out that fats are rich in an enzyme called aromatse which turns testosterone into various kinds of estrogens....testosterone it self its some kind of cholesterol, but the bad cholesterol wont do you any good to raise these levels....

bottom line is that what caused you to get these man boobs was the atkins diet in the first place. before wanting to go to a doctor and wanting to hear that you have gyncostasia or whatever that **** is called, do these first: avoid acohol, avoid smoking, avoid soy, avoid fats(more than 30% of calories coming from fat is bad), eat protein, sleep, take supplements, dont ever go on the atkins diet again, dont loose more than 1 point per week, lift weights and stick with tough excercises (be a man), only queeze 5 reps out of a set and do 3 sets of them, and dont overtrain....that wont just raise testosterone levels but improve your overall health.

More mass, less overall body fat percentage. Sure, you won't lose fat, but your body percentage will be less and there will be a firm and toneness to it. No you can't spot reduce, but if you pile on some lean mass, it'll even out.

For your height, you are pretty skinny. I figure you loss some muscle mass while on Atkins and since you're doing all this dieting and cardio, you don't have enough muscle mass in your chest area for anything but fat. It's already hard enough to build mass while you're doing cardio and dieting, but demanding a flatboard chest when there isn't enough muscle mass is too much.

My suggestion? Pump the weights, bulk up some. Drop the cardio and the diet for a while and build up some muscle in the chest. Bulk up the rest of your body while you're at it. My guess is that you'll look fine after that, especially if you look the way I'm imagining now. But if you really do have that much body fat, then just start cutting from there.

You will not see firmness from just diet and exercises. You'll hit dangerously low levels before that if you barely have enough muscle there to begin with. Bulk and then cut.

check if you have hard spots under your nipple, if so, its probably gyno and a surgery would be an option. If not, you just need to diet and train to get rid of some BF.
