This month hasn't been the best for me. My gf of 10 months is gone until December, I have a hard school load, I crashed my motorcycle, and I'm running into financial issues.

All these things combined--and especially not having my gf around--has left me feeling fairly down about life at times, like I'm stuck in a rut. I don't have that aggressive confidence I use to have.

I keep trying to do things that I know will help me, like starting to box again and workout a lot, but I can't seem to put in the energy to actually do them. I just end up lying around instead.

Any advice on how to get myself straight again?

lol... I'm in a similar situation as well.
I came down to watch over my parent's house for 2 weeks, while they went to Hawaii, along w. my sister, her husband, and child. All for my pops 60th B-Day. Sucks big time, wish I could be there... but just couldn't afford it.

Anyways... so the LoLo's are in effect.

And through it all, I've sort of realized the best way to groove through it, is to not make a problem of it. As crazy as that sounds. I've sort of just given myself the freedom to go through whatever moods/thoughts/feelings the last few days. Just conciously witnessing it all, accepting it, and letting it be. And I've found I've been gaining a lot of strength through that. Its like a process of self-integration is going on. Like the more I allow myself to accept and feel the blues of the pain... it sort of turns into music, and takes on another light. A healing.

So as contrary as this advice sounds. I would straight up give it a try for a day. Just let it be ok. Its given me a lot more "realness" and I feel stronger for being big enough to allow the experience of it, to be.

Hope you got some light outta this.
Peace'

Remember that you could be dead,or be poor living in the street with no family and nothing to look forward to. THERE IS ALWAYS SOMEONE WHO IS WORSE OFF THEN YOU!!!!

REMEMBER.......WHATEVER DOESN'T KILL YOU ONLY MAKES YOU STRONGER!

Just listen to music, lift weights,do a hobby, anything that makes you happy. I know now having your girlfriend around for awhile is a bummer but hey,use it to your advantage. Go bust your butt in the gym,and suprise her with muscles when she gets back. You have three months, alot can be acheived in three months.

Sounds like a plan. I'm working out today, and I started taking care of my work. I feel better.

Tell her a little about yourself, but not too much. Maintain some mystery. Give her something to think about and wonder about when she's at home.

I hear ya man, my gfs gone till December too. Hang in there man.

I find that drinking occasionally, going out with friends, keeping in touch with those who you miss, hitting the gym, and rocking out to good tunes are all good ways to get past the blues.
