How to find those kickass parties

So I'm a senior at hs, and have never been to one of those crazy-ass parties where everyone gets drunk, has lots of fun, and goes off to have sex with beautiful girls (ie: American Pie). Sure, I go places, what most people consider 'parties', but they are never this fun.

The last one I went to was centered around a chessboard, for chrissake, with maybe 20 people, listening to crappy feminine music like Usher or Phantom of the opera soundtrack, no alcohol, and certainly no hot chicks. To top it off, even the uglies had sex as the last thing on their mind. It was more of a 'get-together'.

So the question is: how do I avoid these lame get togethers, and find some real parties? Or do I wait till college/uni?

Also, Im in no position to host any, since I live in an appartment complex with cardboard walls, so the sound level should be at a minimal at all times.

Sounds like the problem is who you associate with. If your friends are the type to "party" as you've described, then odds are good they aren't going to change anytime soon. You'll have to disassociate yourself from them on the weekends/whatever night and hit it out solo if you don't already have some fun friends. Check out the bar scene, meet a few people, cover yourself in personality... the rest will come.

i didn't think those stifler thrown american pie parties really happened?

well.. maybe in the paris hilton type world..?

but for average joe..?

i've been to plenty of fun house parties.. but not ones where there is 10 bedrooms in the house so everyone can get laid..

Um... where did you go to high school? That was a pretty decent house party in the first movie... but not rare in real life... the "10 bedrooms" aren't there just so you can get laid, but it's not uncommon at all for people to sneak into one, lock the door, and have at it. Like I mentioned, it's not uncommon for parties of that caliber to be thrown - especially if it's celebrating something (i.e. football victory, etc).

i went to school in australia duh!
we had parties most weekends, but none could rival that the american pie party..

how about the old school party with snoop dogg? been to one like that..

erm.... those partied happen alright! You just need to know the right people and find the right places The best way to find these kinda parties, in MY opinion, is to go to clubs, parties, etc and MEET and become FREINDLY with people there... Then give them a call before week ends, ask them where the party is at on the week end, they will tell u and even might invite u with, then u meet more ppl at these parties etc... You see the cycle? Back in the day when I didn’t know any "party people" I had the same problem, which I soon solved for myself by simply meeting people and befriending them and starting to go to more and more parties. And now... I am at the stage where every week-end I have about 4 house parties to go to, and invites to certain parties at certain parties/clubs. I really cant think of the last week end where I never had at least 3 or 4 parties to go to. So just meet ppl, and your problem will be solved, I promise

1 more thing.... Try throw a house party of your OWN... Set a date for a month in advance, and then tell ppl at your college etc, within a month ALOT of ppl will know about it, and your party will be a nice one, if planned correctly (music, entertainment), and like that you can meet other ppl and they will invite YOU to THEIR house parties. That seems to work pretty well from my experiences of throwing house parties.

The problem with parties in my area is that they are usually populated by a bunch of idiots. Plus i estimate 75% of the parties are huge ****farms.

Well then you need to associate yourself with people OTHER than idiots.. FIND the right parties to go to. And if 75% of the parties in your area are "c0ckfarms" then make sure that you are going to that 25% of the parties which are NOT "c0ckfarms" If you are not FINDING these "kickass" parties, then you are not looking hard enough

for me, it's a bigger problem than for you guys. 95% of italian people who live in a city stays in an apartment, which is not enough to throw a party like american pie's. people who have big enough houses are rich kids and throw lame parties where everyone is a snob and virgin until 25... i think there is no solution for us fùckin italian

anyone from italy that can give a tip?
