How far before prom should I ask someone?

I think at least 2-3 weeks. More if she is the kind of girl that is gonna be asked by 500 guys.

About a week before can be done. I just did that the other day.

I've heard the stereotypical time frame is months before.

If you already know someone, go ahead and ask her out.
