Once you've created a bond w/ a lady and start to take it to the next level, I notice that I get these AFC thoughts in my head constantly.

After "making love" (what a bull**** term) I get the desire to be all mushy and tell her how I feel about her. Thanks to this site, I know not to ever say anything, but how can I condition myself to not have these thoughts?

On the other hand I don't want to grow cold. If I am w/ someone and want to develop a loving relationship, I realize that you still have to not only compliment them, but also show her you care and a sensitive side as well.

I try to keep a good balance of DJ / sensitive guy. For example today when she said I love you, I replied awwww baby thats sooo sweet paused then said I wish I could say the same After some chuckles and we were back to normal, in the most sincere tone, I told her that I loved her too.

So how can I slow down these AFC thoughts and what is the right balance of DJ vs showing you care.

I think this problem is the worst part of relationships. you can't be your self or say good things to each other in a healthy way.

I don't know, maybe it's just a biological thing that women don't want to be treated well.

Actually, they say they want good treatment, but reject it when they get it. It's masochism, which is psychological disorder, and most women have a small degree of it, even though fortunately, most aren't full-blown.
