How much contact should you have

I started texting this girl but didnt meet her for a week or so, subsequent to this i have seen her twice in two-three weeks (one of which was only a brief meeting). But, i looked through my phone and saw some sort of contact (phone or text), on average every 2-3 days, I was just wondering what the general opinion on how much contact you should have in the initial stages. I have thought about hanging back for a week or so....?

Any ideas on the 'phone' and 'dating game' in the first two months or so...in terms of how often do you see someone and how often you ring/text, do you give up weekends for example....????

if you have something to talk about and are good with words you can increase her level of attraction with text messages in lieu of actually meeting, if you dont have the time

i think you have to take it on a case by case basis... depends on the girl... depends what you want out of the relationship... its a lot easier to like someone you are in regular communication with rather than someone who disappears for stretches at a time only to return with the same interest in pursuing something further... it sends too many mixed signals

i think it takes far more discipline and is more important to play hard to get in person rather than by limiting communications when you're not together

that being said... the phone is for setting up dates and texting is for flirting... finding out about each other is for face to face
