How is the request for "no keyboard jockeys" taken in this forum?

It is not uncommon on the internet for people to offer advice on stuff they do not have enough first hand experience.

On a PUA forum that´s a even more common ocurrence.

Myself, as I grew older, I understand the importance of firsthand experience and as such I refrain from posting if I do not have the proper experience.

So the question is: how is it viewed on this forum if you request in a thread that "KJs" are unwelcome to post?

Is it offensive if such a request is made?

A major symptom of a keyboard jockey is the refusal to admit to being a keyboard jockey. Just read all responses and decide on your own who makes the most sense.

A KJ is not going to say to himself... Hmmm... I'll refrain from answering as I happen to be a KJ".

This reminds me of women on dating sites who say "If you're into playing games please do not reply".

I do get a chuckle out of the occasional thread here on SS where a new guy will ask a serious, intelligent question and then one after another these new guys with two or three previous posts start spouting off their "wisdom". I shake my head and just wait for one of the old timers to get things on track, or I might do it myself occasionally if I'm inspired with a useful brain eruption.

If you're worried about "offending people" on the Internet then you probably get run over in real life.

You can't control who replies to your threads. Just read all the answers and take the wisdom where you find it. Weed out anything that doesn't pass the logic test.

Nope, I am very much alpha in real life. I´m not actually concerned whether I´m offending someone, it´s just that I don´t know how this forum´s moderation would take a novice poster demanding that the people posting have a proven track record or something. Moderation might decide it´s out of line behavior and block my account.
