Sorry if this is annoying but any help would be great. I know some of you hate to hear the "too big" argument. But seriously when I look through Muscle&Fitness some of ads show guys like this and I just think it looks disgusting and I never want to look that way. Mostly because I think it looks weird when your chest is three times as wide as your waist.

But then I came across this picture of Adrian Peterson and its the first big person that didn't look freakish. He's got massive biceps but he in no way looks abnormal. How would I train to ATTEMPT to get the body type of Adrian Peterson?

Everyone who says they don't want to get "too big" from weightlifting have absolutely no idea how much work it takes to get "too big".

From a quick look he looks like has some muscle imbalances, while I am pretty sure he's trained pretty well considering he's a professional football player, but his arms look too big for the rest of the body. Maybe he needs it for whatever he does, I don't know.

Do you strength train? If not, start strength training. There have been lots of threads similar to yours.

Dude, Adrian Peterson is an animal.. But you need to take in to consideration the fact that all he does is train for his job, which is to be a RB in the NFL. It's gonna sound really cliche' but those who do the work reap the rewards. Also, be advised he has a Strength and Conditioning team as well as a Nutritionist, and he is training for short bursts of energy. I would assume he does a ton of heavy Compound lifts such as Bench, Squat, Deads, Clean and Press, Snatch, and Arm Work too..

Just hit it hard and the results will come your way..

um, what picture are you looking at? his waist is significantly wider than his chest. now, his lats, all spread out like that, are significantly wider, but he's also pumped, stretched and posing, he won't look like that standing around in an Under Armor shirt (as in your other pic). you're comparing apples and oranges.

also, his bodyfat is ridiculously low, and his complexion is not favorable. and both of them are probably using significant chemical enhancement. so before you worry about getting "too big"........

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.
