So I am listening to all your guys' advice about eating hard boiled eggs and was at the dining hall today at breakfast trying to figure out how you are supposed to crack these things without banging them on the table?

You just lightly tap em on something and then peel em open from there.

If you immediatley take the eggs off of the stove, drain them, and then run cold water over them for a few minutes they will become infintiley easier to peel. The shell will just slide right off.

Also make cooking them a science. Always let your water boil before you ad the eggs. Then take note of the size of the pot and the amount of eggs you add. Use a timer to time, starting as soon as the eggs are added. When the time is up run them in cold water.

Keep experimenting with time until you get a perfect egg. I do 9 minutes on boil, then set for 2 minutes then rinse.

It'll vary depending on your stove, altitude, and preference.

A properly boiled egg is easy to pill and delicous.

wut i always do: there are 2 ends of the egg. one is more sharp than the other. crack the egg from the more roundish side and there should be airspace between the shell and the eggwhite. then just peel it from there...
