for instance, suppose two guys go through a normal uneventful day. if someone asks them how their day went, guy#1 could say, "oh i just went to work and then the gym, etc." boring. now let's say guy#2 did the exact same things guy#1 did (work and gym afterwards... nothing out of the ordinary) but unlike guy#1's boring story of how his day went, guy#2 elaborates and put an amusing/interesting spin on how his normal uneventful day went.

what are some ways to accomplish this? how can one put an amusing spin on almost ANY topic/issue? any recommended books out that explain this well? thanks!

did something funny happen at the gym?
did the receptionist chick look funny? have a funny voice? look really unfit or out of place ata gym?
was there some weakling at the gym struggling with the machines?
at work did something happen? someone wear something stupid? get any funny emails? play a prank on someone?
how was the drive? did you see any weird/ strange cars? did you listen to the radio- did they say anything funny?

there is a very funny world out there, you just have to be observant. whilst activities as a whole may not be humorous, break them down and look at your surroundings.

funny also depends a lot on tonality, if you can say something the right way and put emphasis on the right points you can make it a lot more funny. also, be enthusiastic. if you are too stiff and uptight its going to seem kinda of strange if you start cracking jokes.
also, if you hear a good joke, record it and remember it. you dont have to have a full half hour routine organised, but if you have a couple of jokes you can slip into a convo you will do well

Do what I do.

Go into story mode and make some big elaborate lie that just screams bullsh!t.

The girls will understand, than you can even be mysterious and not tell them anything you did at all.

"What did you do today?"

"I woke up from bed, and there was this red cape there see..."

This works AMAZINGLY well if you can pull it off. After a few drinks I can usually bull**** my way into any conversation. Girls are very fantasy oriented, so they won't be offended. Insert some sexual jokes in there to stay alpha, and a little bit of self-deprecation mixed 50% with a little bit of self-promotion and you won't come off as a jackass. I wish someone would have told me about this before I figured it out myself.

Good question. I've often wondered this myself. My job has me sitting at a computer all day in a cubicle. Pretty boring and doesn't make for any interesting stories. I guess the best way to have interesting and eventful stories to tell is to get out there and start living a life that brings you interesting stories. You can't easily fake having an interesting life. You either do or you don't. Don't know if you read The Game by Style yet, but man, those 2 years of his life he would've had endless stories to tell. Not saying that you have to live a life like that to have interesting stories, but you have to do something to make your life that way. Then it has a snowball effect. The more interesting your life is, the more people become interest in you, bringing more people into your life making for even more interesting stories. The opposite is just as true. No interesing life means less people want to be around what they perceive as a boring person, meaning your life becomes ever more boring and sends you into downward spiral mode.

Start travelling, try new things you might not have thought of, volunteer for some interesting causes, run a marathon, whatever...you get the idea. The more shyt you've got going on in your life, you'll be bursting to tell people your stories and you'll never have to think about how to make your day sound interesting to people.
