I mean face it if you had a bunch of girls you checkin up on,would you be the least concerned about acting desperate?NO Because the fact wouldnt run through your mind because you physically are NOT.If you have other tasks in mind and just go with the flow,then theres no way your going to seem desperate.THEN its a matter of acting interested enough......
