How do you define a "quality woman"?

I see many DJs discriminating between "random chicks" and "quality women". Please explain me the difference.

Quality women are women that will challenge you. They aren't just blowup dolls who sit around waiting for the next dinner or the next session of sex. They are quality because they are intelligent and have confidence in themselves. She has morals and she sticks to her word. She is outgoing, but does not always have to be the center of attention. If she's a good woman, she will test you every now and then to make sure you're not a push over.

The list goes on, but this is what I look for in a woman. I don't want a couch potato. I want a woman who is going to question me and attempt to make me a better man. I've spent too much time with women who have nothing going for them and just leech off you.

Oh yeah, lastly she must be hot.. in your eyes.

The Myth of the "Quality" Woman

It seems like all I read about on SoSuave these days is a never ending quest for a "Quality Woman." There's threads asking for clear definitions of what constitutes a "Quality" woman and others that conveniently set women up into 2 camps - Quality women and Hors, as if there were no middle ground. How easy it becomes to qualify a woman based on her indiscrretions (as heinous as they're perceived to be) for either of these catagories. This is binary thinking at its best - on or off, black or white, Quality woman or Hor.

I think the term 'Quality' woman is a misnomer. Guys tend to apply this term at their leisure not so much to define what they'd like in a woman (which is actually an idealization), but rather to exclude women with whom they'd really had no chance with in the first place as an ego-preservation method, or mistakenly applied too much effort and too much focus to only to be rebuffed. This isn't to say that there aren't women who will behvae maliciously or indiscriminately, nor am I implying that they ought to be excused out of hand for such. What I am saying is that it's very AFC to hold women up to preconceived idealizations and conveniently discount them as being less than "Quality" when you're unable to predict, much less control their behaviors.

The dangers inherent in this convention is that the AFC (or the DJ subscribing to the convention) then limits himself to only what he perceives as a Quality woman, based on a sour-grapes conditioning. Ergo, they'll end up with a "Quality" woman by default because she's the only candidate who would accept him for her intimacy. It becomes a self-fulfiling prophecy by process of elmination. Taken to its logical conclusion, they shoot the arrow, paint the target around it and call it a bullseye, and after which they'll feel good for having held to a (misguided) conviction.

So why is this a social convention then? Because it is socially unassailable. Since this convention is rooted to a binary premise, no one would likely challenge it. It would be foolish for me to say "Yes Mr. DJ I think you ought to avoid what you think of as Quality women." Not only this, but we all get a certain satisfaction from the affirmation that comes from other men confirming our own assessment of what catagory a woman should fit into. Thus it becomes socially reinforced.

Be careful of making a Quality woman your substitute for a ONEitis idealization.

A quality woman. Lets see. First, lets go over what she is NOT.

I dont want a celibate "Party Girl" one that loves to surround herself with male companions and friends, and looks hott, but wont put out for anyone.

I dont want a woman who puts her kid(s) from another male before me. Fcku that, I can see know how a relationship with a parent is tough. I want a woman that can put us at an EQUAL level. In other words, she needs to tell little 7 year old Susie, that she is going to the sitters tonite, or to her baby-daddy's place, so mommy and her new "friend" can go hit the town. I dont expect her to NEGLECT her kid(s) but if parenting is more important to her than courtship and maintaining a relationship "NEXT"

I dont want female friends. They bore the piss out of me.

What a quality woman is, is this.

1. A woman who is UNAFRAID of her own sexuality, and her looks. A woman who enjoys the Kama Sutra as much as I do, and who is not afraid to shop at Victoria's Secret, who is not afraid to diet and hit the treadmill, in order to maintain her looks, and physique. Who is not afraid of being a female, and showing her stuff, a la Mariah Carey. That is one woman who LOVES being a woman. She always looks like an exotic dancer, not a ****ing housewife in curlers and no make up, ironing and telling off her husband in the morning.

2. A woman who I am COMPATIBLE with. I enjoy the fight scene. I need a woman, who on fight night, wants to order the PPV, and help me prepare the hotwings and drive to the store for some Dos Equis, and limes, and greet my friends at the door with a smile and a beer, and sit on my lap while the preliminary bouts are on, and drink with us, and ENJOY the evening.

I enjoy the bar scene, a night of kareokee. I need a companion who can whistle and hoot and holler at me while I am on stage, grinding my hips, while singing an American Idol version of "Copacabana" Or who can get all dolled up and have dinner with me, and then go Salsa dancing, or just hang at the pub with me and my mates, and schmooze, and bull**** with the gang. OR hang out at home in sweats, and do "Blockbuster Night" and enjoy some DVDs together.

Someone who has an ear open for me when I had a rough day at work, and who can offer me a back massage and a cold one when I get home. She does this, and the favor will be returned 12 fold.

Here's a brief definition I will submit to you here:

"A Quality Woman is a woman of "quality". I will go out on a limb here and assume that we all know what a WOMAN is, so I'll just expand on the word "quality". A woman of quality is one with distinction. She displays traits, characteristics, behaviors, and degrees of excellence that DISTINGUISHES her from the rest. Distinguished from the rest of who? From the garden variety whhores and biitches, just to name a few.

What makes a woman a woman of quality are the same things that make your friends, your car, your house, and your career, things of quality: YOU choose THEM. And the reason you chose them was because you realized that all of these things mentioned ADDED value to your life. So therefore, you JUDGED them as being "qualified" to be included in your life."
