How do you deal with girls who are impossible to converse with?

I've been talking to this chick on AIM for a week now. The first two or three conversations went real well. We both talked a lot. Now it's like I have to always initiate every single question or new topic. Then she will reply with some simple one word answer or one sentence answer. So I try to tease her and get some kind of reaction out of her. She then goes into this ***** mode for a second. It's like impossible to even talk to her anymore. She seemed really cool from the start too. Anyone got any tips on how to get these kind of women to start actually talking more?

right. your mistake is that you keep trying with this particular chick.

WHY? who the f is she? the key to all these questions about "what can i do to make this situation that is not working out better?" is to simply MOVE ON.

this might seem premature to you but her lack of "playing ball" is an indication of her interest. and the only real thing you can do at that point is move on. trying to increase interest is a chump's endeavor.
