Stop acting like a friend.
In short....don't spend much time talking to her....spend some time away, meet and date other women, and....don't act like a friend when you finally do get in touch with her. lol. It probably won't work though.

You essentially upped your VALUE in her eyes by showing her that, if she wants you, she has to at times do things that you like to do. You are SOMETHING after all. You are NOT FREE. If she wants to hang with you, it's going to cost her something — time, effort, money.

If you are snugly in the friend box dissapear from her life for a year or so and work on improving yourself in whatever way you need improving in be it health wise or style wise and then after that is over if she is not with someone re-connect with her and treat her like a chick you want to get with.
Do not be afraid of your sexuality, ask her out on dates, have her hang around you while doing guy activities.
Most AFC's get stuck in the highly undesireable friend role because they firmly believe friendship before relationship is the safe path to go but like Rollo said friendship creates a kind of comfortableness that is the opposite of sexual tension that approaching a girl as someone you'd like to be with sexually creates.
And you establish the interested in getting with her frame by acting outright like you are interested in getting her by asking her on a date or to come over to your place or somewhere that you can isolate her and have a good time together where you can use some kino and try to make a move on her.
